It was a box I got at the Copenhagen MUM, I think it was ROS 6.34.x before I upgraded it.

Re: VPN setup with Google Cloud

Your policy must match at both ends

This is what 30 seconds of googling got me https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/vpn/advanced

You seem to have a lot of unnecessary/unsupported auth algorithms in your config

In winbox 3.7 it works (the fields are editable).

Re: Port 4070 - Block on Mikrotik

Hi

Do you have an address list called 194.68.28.0/22? maybe you should use src address instead of src address list.

Are you sure it is TCP traffic? maybe remove that check

Move the port number to dest port

Working Wifi while Capsman is offline

I testing out Capsman for a customer project but if the capsman server is disconnected, the managed APs also stop providing wifi. Is there a way to make capsman only provision the APs, so if there is a power failure they will keep working or is there another way, The Dude for example? Hope this make...

Re: Master Slave again.

Dear Folks, From the wiki: A 'master' port will be the port through which the RouterOS will communicate to all ports in the group. Interfaces for which the 'master' port is specified become inactive - no traffic is received on them and no traffic can be sent out. I am sorry but this statement from ...

Re: RB750Gr2 DHCP client doesn't get IP from WAN port

Maybe the lease was reserved for another device.

Our DSL customers get 1 IP with a 45 minute lease, so they either have to contact customer service or wait 45 minutes.

Mikrotik only provide passive PoE, the UAP-AC-Pro only support "active" 802.3af PoE/802.3at PoE+

The UAP-AC-Lite and LR models support Passive PoE

Re: NSA and routeros

In any case in Europe, EVERY ISP !!! needs to have a "backdoor" really? which european union country are you from? Netherlands. European regulation 2006/24/EG. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_Retention_Directive But is that a backdoor? To me a backdoor is a way to access a router/system ...

Re: Carrier Grade NAT + Remote monitoring / management

Short answer: Yes it is possible (but if the SXT-LTE license allows for it to setup a VPN client im not sure of) Long(ish) answer: Mikrotik devices support many VPN types, IPSec/l2tp is probably the easiest to setup imo and seems to be supported by soft-ether. So if you setup the SXT-LTE to connect ...

Re: IPTV who should pay?

I think there are net neutrality laws in the EU, so you are not allowed to block/prioritize certain traffic.

You could report them, but then your customers might want to find another provider...

Is it fair, maybe not for you, but it secures the rights of the consumer.

imho.

Hello I have 2 RB2011 routers setup with a IPSec Site-to-site, no problems with connecting. The problem is that i can ping back and forth from both sides, but when i try to access other data across the tunnel, for example the web interface of a VoIP phone, nothing really happens, wireshark shows tha...

I would double check the IP addresses you have entered, if you are using the default settings then it should work.
