Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

Got the Procend 180-T last week, plugged it into a RB960PGS and everything looks fine, however i have not had the chance to do further testing or connect it to my dslam yet.

I will post some results later this week once i have done some testing.

Re: Woobm-USB How Much Can It Do?

yes, RouterOS has supported USB-Serial adapters for quite some time.
I am seriously asking...

Re: v6.39.2 [current]

I updated my production ccr1009 and ccr1036 both configured as PPPoE servers to 6.39.1 and then 6.39.2 with this week and on both versions connected PPPoE clients had major issues browsing. Due to being production systems i rolled back to 6.37.5 (Bugfix) as soon as it became evident that 6.39.2 did ...

Re: User Quota Mamangemt

I run postpaid with monthly quotas by utilizing a bunch of scripts based on those that can be found here https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/AutomatedBilling You can probably script to update one of the fields in the private information sections of the users profile daily with and incrementing number rep...

Re: Winbox 3.7 released!

I have notice that after a period of time the log window stops updating. Seems to happen universally on all device types and ROS versions 6.19 and up.

I have to close the log window and reopen for the log to be updated.

Virtual IP on public addresses

I have been asked to supply some one on my network with a VIP (cisco) for public facing IP Addresses. Personally i think the guy might be confused but i just want to verify as the interwebs haven't convinced me its it not a misinterpretation.  I think it can be done, i kind of see in my head how. Bu...

Re: Agent Only package for other achitecures

I wouldn't expect, that if it was behaving as a "relay", it would be required to write to flash very often. My agent installations of The Dude are doing that at the moment. In fact the TheDude server process at one of my remote sites has nothing added to it and doesn't seem to be logging a...

Agent Only package for other achitecures

Very happy to see the Dude being developed again. However, I run quite a few "agents" at remote sites behinf rb2011's, usually on old laptops etc.. With the dropping of windows versions and native packages for tilera and x86, chr only kinda of leaves these sites out in the lurch. I could r...

Management VLAN on Bridged EIOP Tunnel

Hi All, I have worked up a little Remote/Home Office solution using some hAP lites but i am struggling to implement remote management. The hAP lite is configured to work within a lan as it dials out a pptp connection an then establishes a EIOP tunnel over that interface. Ether2-4 are bridged with th...

Re: Compress files

I wanted to re-open this since there seems to be some missing information. The user-manager package looks like it contains tar. e.g. when running a backup from the UserManager web interface the resulting file is a tar file containing logsql.umb and mainsql.umb (I'll assume another file would be ther...

Re: Leap Second insertion

I don't have ntp, but for some reason my ccr-1008 became unresponsive at exactly the time of the leap second.

Activity lights where active but no other services. Console was unresponsive, ended up power cycling.
