Hello guys, after a very long time not searching this forum i can see this nasty bug still annoying the admins. It's a bug which came in the v2 beta-times and is still present?! (I created a thread in early 2007, see http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13816). @Minollie "I sort of...

Re: Does this program support SNMP traps?

Same question here. My experience: Syslog-functionality != snmp-trap. Syslog listens on port 514 UDP per default, snmp-traps are sent to port 162 UDP. When i configure Dude's syslog-server to listen on this port 162, the incoming traps are not readable (messed up). I don't know about a trap-receiver...

Re: Dude V2.2 crash

Hello again, tried to run the "execute"-probes with an agent-instance of Dude and so to reduce workload on the primary Dude. I can run nearly every probe on the agent (is executed from it - src ip), but when switching the "execute"-probe to the agent, the poll is started from the...

Re: Dude V2.2 crash

Hello Normis, I've migrated to the v3b8 now, seems to be stable after importing a font, but the problem with crashing while executing the many "execute"-probes still remains. Here the crash-log: 3.0beta8 ACCESS VIOLATION at: 40153a eip=40153a eflags=210246 edi=2b2fd4c esi=22f24c ebp=22f294...

Re: Dude V2.2 crash

Hello Normis, I used to take the "stable"-versions because of several posts claiming the bugs in the betas. Which beta can you advice - 3b8 seems to be a bit unstable (I've tested it yet and have seen many errors posted by Minollie too at this thread: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.ph...

Dude V2.2 crash

Hello, we have approximately 300 devices polled from Dude v2.2. About 200 of them are Linux/Windows-devices, where most of them are polled via Nagios' "check_nrpe", which is executed with the execute-function of Dude every 30 seconds per device. With the raising number of "check_nrpe&...

Re: Execute Function Documentation

Hi, I'm using DudeV2.2 and created some execute-functions. The following one for example returns Array-Index 0 (array_element -> Return Code) of the returned values of executing program.exe, parameters passed to the .exe, and where the .exe resides (Path). I think this should work with a .bat anyway...

Another execute-function help needed

Hi all, i'm playing around with the execute-function for integrating NAGIOS check-nrpe probes. With the following function everything works great: execute("check_nrpe.exe", "-n -t 30 -c nt_check_disk_c -H svr001", "D:\Program_files\cygwin") But with this function i have...

I've checked it out once more, but i can't reproduce the crash with the new V3 beta3 yet...

Connecting with the client "remotely" to the server always worked fine, the error always happend if i worked with the client running directly on the server.

Bug or only wrong setting? - Dude crash

Hi all, this problem was already posted some time ago (V2-beta times), but i've this behaviour with V2.1 and V3 beta yet too. Sometimes (till many times) while opening the "...Settings" of a device, Dude crashes with 100% cpu-load on the attempt to draw the "General"-window, just...

...same problem here. The discover works well (service count ok), but if i add a new probe (e.g. "disk"), every service is counted twice. Additionally i have the problem that Dude crashes mostly when i open the "device settings" / "general" tab of these devices. All val...

Nagios NRPE Feature Request

Hi, would it be feasible to integrate the NAGIOS-NRPE-Protocol into Dude? Dude's capabilities on client-monitoring are great, but most need SNMP and extensive SNMP-Querys are complex to create. I don't think about hard coding it into dude. It would be great if dude could be dynamically extended. I'l...

Error importing Dudev1.2-backup into v2_beta

Hi, we have a well running installation of Dude v1.2 with several big network maps. While testing the new beta-versions (beta3 - beta5), i can't import the backup of v1.2 into the betas. In v2, one map will be displayed correctly, the two other maps are only "white". The search-function ca...
