Re: cannot succeed to update hap mini to 7.1b2

I have the same issue, load 7.1beta2 via netinstall on a hap lite. Netinstall gives an error on the end of the install, but the package seems to be loaded on the device. I can log in for a few seconds to the device, view the log and then it gives a out of memory error, kernel panic and reboots. Noth...

Re: Amazon AWS VPN -- A Working Configuration Example and Bug

With version 6.47 I think I got the IPsec to AWS figured out. The new ipsec commands are not (yet) in the documentation, I hope this is fixed soon. I have to experiment more with this, but it is something to work on. This seems to work: /ip ipsec profile add dh-group=modp1024 dpd-interval=10s dpd-ma...

Re: v6.45.2 [stable] is released!

When I upgraded an LtAP mini (luckily a test machine) to 6.45.1, I lost the LTE interface! When I upgraded to 6.45.2, the LTE interface is back again.
There is nothing in the release/change notes. Anybody else experiencing the same issue?

OOB management using LtAP

I am configuring an LtAP as an out-of-band device to take over the console of something else. The idea is to have a VPN over LTE and hop back over this VPN to the serial port of the device. Everything works fine, but when I reboot the device with serial connected, it seems to hang. Because there is ...

Re: DNS lookup TXT record

I have the same issue that I can not find any way to do this.

It can be very handy for things like retrieving your "real" IP
nslookup -type=txt o-o.myaddr.l.google.com

:resolve only has options "server server-port domain-name"

If there are others? Maybe a feature request ?

Re: [Feature][DNS] Allow 0.0.0.0 as address for DNS records

Just my 2 cents, if you do not want to use the classic private ranges ... There are also documentation ranges defined in rfc5737 192.0.2.0/24 (TEST-NET-1), 198.51.100.0/24 (TEST-NET-2) and 203.0.113.0/24 (TEST-NET-3) These are not allocated as global routable ranges. and should be black-holed any wa...

missing pings on high speed

I noticed that I get ping timeouts when pinging with "interval=10ms". It seems only the reporting can not keep up with the speed, as a packet trace showed no missing ping reply's. This was tested on ccr1009's. When you say you have to use flood-ping to do that - indeed flood ping misses no...

Problems using the VPN solutions to connect into a Windows domain

After a lot of searching on the internet, I found the following (which can be useful to other users) (I think this can also be added to the wiki.) Windows 7, by default!, configures its VPN connections (L2TP, PPTP,) to use the credentials used to authenticate the VPN for all subsequent authenticatio...

Re: Management VLAN on bridged CCR

Would something like this work? (the interfaces are just as example) you add the vlan interface to the bridge and put an IP on it. First create the bridge: /interface bridge add name=test /interface bridge port add bridge=test interface=ether1 add bridge=test interface=ether2 Then add the vlan to th...

Re: CCR1009 dropping or unordering UDP packets with high load

Have you tried putting the stream in a queue, (one of the fifo queues) and then tune the queue size ...
I think the multi processor setup of the ccr1009 can cause the reordering, a queue could fix this.

SSTP over IPv6

While setting up SSTP I have a problem getting it to work over IPv6. In the WiKi it is stated that http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IPv6_Overview MikroTik IPv6 support at the moment: ... all PPP (Point-to-point protocols); What is the meaning of this? That IPv6 is supported as transport protocol...
