Re: CSS326 IGMP Snooping not working!

It doesn't correct errors.

Re: Excessive broadcasts/multicast, probably a loop

Important announcement. IGMP snooping works ok!!

From the RuterOS version 6.43rc66, IGMP snooping works.

I don't know whether to be happy or congratulate, whether to cry, I waited for IGMP 10 years!
Many years of requests and reminders.

Thank you IPTV works.

Re: Router config for IPTV (non-VLAN)

You're wrong. You don't read the forum. Check how many requests to fix the IGMP. TV operators are asking for it many years! Nobody uses it because it doesn't work, it's easy. I am asking for many years and not only me. MikroTik switches, can not be bought. Important not one multicast stream but a fe...

Re: Router config for IPTV (non-VLAN)

How much do you have connected TV box 100,200,1000? How much do you have multicast groups? Currently, I use 61 multicast groups. The problem is extinguishing the multicast groups, mikrotik doesn't send information about leaving the groups to the pim router, and transmissions are added for 2 minutes....

Please don't test IGMP snooping still doesn't work.
I am asking engineers from Mikrotik to test it on my TV network, but they don't want to.
So many years please Mikrotika to do IGMP snooping and nothing.
Why don't you listen to your customers?

Re: PIM Routing Not Working

Hello, I've been testing a group of 700 TV IP tuners for a long time (IP TV). I tested PIM protcol with CCR CCR1009, CCR1036 and X86 (Ethernet Controller Intel 82599 10Gb/s). I've always tested the same configuration. Tests showed that CCR works very badly. Every moment there were breaks in Video an...

Re: X86_64 ROS - 64bit Mikrotik

The BGP process needs the whole core. RouterOS does not know that there are virtual cores and will allocate calculations to the cores which are already burdened by another process. When you don't turn off Hyper-threading you will slow down BGP by to 50%. This rule applies to BGP because it doesn't s...

Re: X86_64 ROS - 64bit Mikrotik

X86_64 - This is super secret. RouterOS X86_64 with BGP works around 200-300% faster than CCR1036 and CCR1072. It is important to turn off Hyper-threading! X86_64 works just fine with the platforms where intel is on the motherboard is very important! For example, the X86_64 works well with the HP DL...

Re: X86_64 ROS - 64bit Mikrotik

nowadays memory controllers are very fast, so we will not lose any of performance. You will, in fact. And that is a well known fact. Memory controller won't help you when it comes to a twice as large pointer size. Having said that, I don't think it's a real reason why RouterOS x64 does not exist ou...

Hello,

Very good idea with GPON.
But when will run full IGMP without that GPON does not operate to the fullest!
GPON without IGMP is unnecessary.

Re: IGMP Snooping

Hello How can I ask for? How long do I ask? Very many people have written about it. I am a regional provider of IPTV in Poland. Very quickly it needs IGMP Snooping in RouterOS (Switches). IGMP Proxy authentication does not work with TV tuners. I need a couple of thousands of such devices. When IGMP ...
