Band Steering implementation?

Does anyone know when is MikroTik going to implement BandSteering?

Meaning, equipment with dual band operation (both 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz) detects clients capable of 5 GHz operation and steers them to that frequency which leaves the more crowded 2.4 GHz band available for legacy clients.

Re: Call global function via API

Thx for your response! I tried that but again no luck! Unfortunately any script that you run via the API, cannot use (find) any global variables which is very peculiar. If you run the same script from a terminal it can use the global variable just fine but if you run it via the API it doesn't. The o...

Call global function via API

Can I call (run) a global function, already set in the router, via API? I have set a global function (AddWallgardenDeletionScheduler) that takes 2 parameters but when I try to call it from API doesn't seem to find it. (Doesn't give an error - it's as if it was never been set) From terminal I can cal...

Re: New to Mikrotik

I dont think so because if you see the rule you will notice that it's configured to work only for packets arriving at ether1 (in-interface).

there are ways to address this matter as well. What is the destination IP of the packets?

Re: New to Mikrotik

Configure like below, disable all firewall rules and let me know how it goes /ip firewall nat add action=masquerade chain=srcnat out-interface=ether1 add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat comment="Redirect UDP 50000" dst-port=50000 in-interface=ether1 protocol=udp to-addresses=192.168.1.10 to-ports=50000

Re: Fast Track Example Please !

For home users, you can even fasttrack ALL your LAN traffic by simply adding one firewall rule: /ip firewall filter add chain=forward action=fasttrack-connection connection-state=established,related add chain=forward action=accept connection-state=established,related the second rule is needed, beca...
