I was already wondering how well the new wifi-qcom and wifi-qcom-ac drivers would work for long-distance PtP/PtMP setups without settings for ACK distance. Looks like I have my answer now. Seems like MikroTik really lost touch with their WISP clients.

This issue is related to the design of the S-RJ01 module. We had to rip them out using force during our last migration, unfortunately in some cases damaging the switchport (or NIC) they were in.

True, you should not upgrade that kind of vintage device to RouterOS v7 unless you are prepared to live with performance issues.
Too bad the CRS326-24S+2Q+RM is delivered from factory with RouterOSv7 and 64MB of RAM.

Outdoor AP's cover both WISP and WiFi needs. Better to get those out and on the market because it reaches a wider audience. Likewise, a WISP can start upgrading their sites (since it's backwards compatible) in preparation for CPEs to come. Am I missing something? The new ax hardware is not backward...

This issue still exists in RouterOS v7.12rc4. Matching the exact prefixes defined in an address list using in "if (dst in address-list) {accept}" does not work properly and will accept every single /32 in the specified prefixes as well.

Create a new bridge on both devices and put all interfaces in the bridge (ether1 and wlan1). Configure wlan1 on one Groove as ap-bridge, configure wlan1 on the other Groove as station-bridge. Done.

I'd stick with v6 on these devices. As biomesh mentioned, they have a very slow CPU and since they do not support L3 HW offloading (or any other new switch feature introduced in v7) upgrading doesn't provide you with any extra functionality either.

This makes no sense. You will have connections coming in on port 13231 on your WAN interface, not on the wireguard interface.

Unfortunately, I've just had to reboot my hAP ax^2 again because none of my clients could associate anymore ("key handshake timeout"). Seems this issue hasn't been fully resolved yet in 7.10beta5. WPA2 only, so WPA3 compatibility issues are excluded.

Updated to 7.9 (stable) on tuesday, I've had to reboot my hAP ax2 twice this week because clients couldn't associate to any of the wifi interfaces anymore. Seems like the wifiwave2 driver just crashes after a while. Disabling and enabling the interfaces does not solve the problem.

WDS enables true layer2 bridging between devices. If you're using MikroTik wireless you can accomplish this either using WDS or 'station-bridge' mode.

We have an RB4011r2 that crashed recently (routing traffic but web/ftp/ssh/telnet/winbox were unavailable), running 6.47.4 with an uptime of about 8 weeks. Updated it to 6.47.8, we'll see how it goes.

Haven't tried OSPF, but it looks like you can configure it under /routing/ospf. Winbox doesn't show the OSPF menu though.

Whoa! Just installed 7.0beta1 on a hAP ac^2. Wireless/EoIP/VPN all work.
Routing stack seems to have changed quite dramatically though!
I lost BGP, but I gained /routing/pimsm and /routing/fantasy, although I have no clue what that last one does yet.

When connecting to a RouterOS device running 6.39.3 with Winbox 2.2.18, I am unable to enable/disable BGP peers with the buttons. Device is an OmniTIK U-5HnD. Winbox 3.11 works fine.

I've seen the same on a CRS125-24G-1S recently, this was fixed after a configuration reset (I suspect the /switch configuration was changed in a previous ROS version and did not get updated properly when upgrading).
