Re: Network behind CRS112 unavailable after main power failure

Which one :) CRS and/or RB? The 2nd is a bit of PITA to reflasah because I have there openvpn server and set-up anew clients will be annoying task to do :-| (but maybe i'll switch to WG) maybe I'll try netinstall on CRS first. And config I often use only text, beside CRS have not much config anyway ...

Network behind CRS112 unavailable after main power failure

Hi, I have weird problem in home network, after my main power goes down (UPS shut down) and when main returns, I can not see everything behind CRS112. My main router is RB4011: from rb4011.eth9 goes cable to CRS112.eth2 and I can't see any problems within router config. One bridge `LAN` with eth6..e...

Re: Usage GPON module SFP in Spain

Mostly sfp modules have SC/UPC (blue). In plastic modems you can find APC (green), or (blue) UPC. So, if you have a green APC plug from wall , you just need a SC APC to SC UPC patchcord and SC APC (simplex) adapter. Sorry, I can't answer exactly what you want to know, but using adapter and patchcord...

Re: RB4011

Natively rb4011 don't support 1G in sfp+ but there are modules that do work when the sfp+ is hard-configured to 1G (1.25). Check topic Usage GPON module SFP in Spain there is one or 2 person's who confirmed that some GPON stick do work (those directly from Chinese manufacturers in which you can chan...

If there is a Sim card slot on board then you should be able to insert gsm modem card.

Re: Usage GPON module SFP in Spain

Look at sshe file, there is how to connect to the sfp and get optical link parameters (and how to put them into excel) - I just scrolled through the file only so I might be wrong [emoji6] Setting access to module on mikrotik might be a tricky but possible ( I managed to setup hg612 with access to it...

You only need this cable: https://www.gpj.com.br/content/images/thumbs/0033841_cordao-de-fibra-otica-scupc-scapc-sxsm-30mm-5m-conector-azulverde-oem.jpeg Green: SC/APC Blue: SC/UPC Yes exactly. Re: Usage GPON module SFP in Spain

Shop owner replied saying that they don't have APC type sfp... does the UPC version work here in Spain?
You mean fiber optic connector SC/APC? Then just use patchcord cable with SC/APC to SC/UPC connectors (and SC/APC adapter).

Re: Usage GPON module SFP in Spain

No, I really meant outsmarting the OLT (by tricking it to think it is working with an original EchoLife, while it is not).
Right, sorry :) I don't know how I missed the "outsmarting" word :? - my mistake.

Could you share what ONT (the model) you got from ISP ?

I just want 1 or 2 to try outsmarting the Huawei OLT. You mean ONU/ONT , OLT is in ISP cabinet :) I'm sorry for off-topic, I hope you're forgive m...

Re: RB4011

I unfortunately can't turn off autoneg on my provider's side, so I hope a software-side fix is possible. I do not want to promise it, but we will look forward to add 1Gbps transceiver support with auto-negotiation=on on both sides. Generally in RouterOS it is necessary to force 1Gbps mode on SFP+(1...

Re: Hardware recommendation

Hi, I'm more familiar with wired hardware than wireless from MT, but if I had to setup wireless link I'd go for 5GHz: SXTsq Lite5 at least - why 5GHz: because 2,4G bandwidth is used widely in home wifi, mice, keyboard, all sort of remote controllers, IoT, etc..... If I would decide to go all the way...

Re: FTC fiber to copper converter

RBFTC11 is build on Qualcom chip which is "dumb" and/or "stupid" (or it might need a better eeprom config?) ,anyway the Qualcomm chip won't talk (it will link up ok, but no data will go through) when you put the SFP module on other-side into SFP+ or SFP/SFP+ (port supporting both...

Re: CCR1009 + RBFTC11 + DSL modem

Well, if u work 8yr with MT then, then config is out of questions. So the left are bad SFPs, patchcord(s) or RBFTC11 - nothing more... -26dBm - that's on edge of working (something dirty, or broken fiber?), ROS might show this as no link (in RB260v2 swos this show up as no link but the transmission ...

Please decide, which modules you have... For MikroTik S-31DLC20D - this is a standard duplex module. Have you upgraded routerboard firmware (System->Routerboard->Upgrade , then Reboot)? If you don't have link then something is wrong with your cabling - test modules and MC it using a short duplex SM ...

Disable auto negotiation, force link to 1G, full duplex, flow auto. Should work (don't forget about bridges, etc...). What is other-side module? The 35LC20D is a Tx=1310nm , Rx=1550nm , on other side you have the 53LC20D (Tx=1550nm, Rx=1310nm). Back to the starting topic post :) I have figured it ou...

For controlling ROS there is available API look on wiki for it. You can use also ssh (or telnet - worst case) . But if u want do routing on CRS125 then u're going to have performance issue (crs125 is designed to work as switch not a router). Ps. I can't help much but maybe this give you some startin...
