Re: /export hangs

Yeah, thank you. Doing it by contacting support is my usual procedure. I decided to give the forum a try this time as it is not urgent. It only hangs my automated backup procedure but I can bypass that. But you are probably right, better to go for the support path.

/export hangs

I habe two Mikrotik routers, one CCR1009-8G-+S-+S+ and one RB3011UAS, both running at 6.4.4beta61 . On the RB3011UAS the /export command hangs in compact and verbose mode. "/system backup save" works fine The last command output by /export are (some values replaced by ...): /ip dhcp-client option ad...

Re: Problems with wrong MAC address on port [SOLVED]

Seems the MAC address can only be altered via teh terminal. I remember now having altered the MAC address to match an AVM address due to identification problems over PPPoE with voip whit the Fritzboix being behind the MikroTik. I had to make th eprovbide believe he was speaking to the Fritzbox. Ther...

Re: Problems with wrong MAC address on port [SOLVED]

I did now reset the MAC address using the "Reset MAC Address" button in WinBox, but still don't see how this address was changed in th efirst place.

Problems with wrong MAC address on port [SOLVED]

Hello, First of all I do not claim this to be a RouterOS issue, but neither am I not aware I would have configured it that way. I used to have a master/slave port configuration for ethernet ports 1 & 2 on my RB3011UiAS, which was transformed to a bridge configuration during one of th efirmware updat...

Feature Request - Custom options for DHCPv6 client requests

Please add the possibility to add custom options to the client request. This is required for ISPs which tend to force you to use a specific router. My ISP requires specific options for my voip IP connection to be establisched which I can accomodate with the DHCP client custom options in ipv6. Recent...

Re: Feature request: NS in static DNS

I would like to sign this request as well, but depending on the local network setup NS entries are not sufficient so I would like to add the option (as an option for the NS record) for the NS entry to behave as forwarder as well. This means that if I add an NS entry for "local.mydomain.net" into the...

Problem with ip pool ranges in script but not in CLI

I have a script is to build an OpenVPN compatible address pool. It does so by going through the possible combinations and build up a "Ranges" variable containing a comma separated liost of all valid /30 ranges. The /ip pool add fails with: value of range must have ip address after '-' The ewrror doe...

Re: Multicast on Mikrotik

Better late than never :D I do have two routers but only one to forward multicasts so far. Strange enough RouterOS lets you configure igmp without PIM but this does not seem to work even for a single router (i.e. useless). RouterOS appears only to support sparse-mode PIM (which is OK) which requires...

Re: Winbox3.0 released!

Wenn will there be a new version to fix the missing menues ? I have the switch menu missing from my RB3011 while it is present in WebFig and also in WebBox for my CCR and CRS125.

I have disabled the "Open in New Window" option with no success.

Re: VLAN over PPPoE possible ?

Great, thanks for the pointer. I was not at all looking at the PPP profile. I have copied the default profile used and added the bridge to the copy. Then I have updated the PPP interface to use the new profile. Then I restarted the ppp interface but I see no trafic on the bridge. Hope this is normal...

VLAN over PPPoE possible ?

Hi, First of all I want to make clear that I am speaking of VLAN over PPPoE, not VLAN to be used for PPPoE, i.e. I am speaking here of VLANs once the PPPoE/PPP connection is up and running. So I do not attempt to open several PPPoE connections over separate VLANs, but use one single PPPoE which enca...

Re: Any way to use packet sniffer with switched-only traffic ?

Pass all traffic from switch to cpu: /interface ethernet switch acl set 0 action=copy-to-cpu Thanks for your suggestion but as far as I know the CRS125 does not support ACL. Tried the command and I get: > /interface ethernet switch acl set 0 action=copy-to-cpu no such item Cheking in WinBOX shows S...

Any way to use packet sniffer with switched-only traffic ?

Hello, The packetsniffer is a very good tool for monitoring problems in larger networks, but its drawback is that it can only capture packets that go to the software, i.e. no traffic that is passing the switch chip only. Is there any way to capture a specific port via packet sniffer ? On my CRS125 m...
