Re: Mikrotik hAP ac Wireless Questions

You can try this tool http://www.mikrotik.com/download/btest.exe it is not ideal but it works.
on your PC with wireless on then through router to PC with 1gbit ethernet.
btest.exe for windows.. awesome. Didn't know about that. Thanks for the heads up. Just learnt something new.

Re: Mikrotik user-manager voucher printing

You can use readyVoucher for user creation in user-manager or in hotspot user list. You can use only one method or both simultaneously. I found a youtube video in the last few days where a fellow walks through the use of your readyVoucher. It was quite good to see. I should dig it out and link here.

yes - you'd need to set up a static route at each site. Thanks for the reply. All sites have internet as our housing estate has FttP services. Re: Best approach to link several different networks/lans nearby?

If you broadcast two SSIDs - one for each remote site, then you would be able to filter traffic between the two VAP interfaces with simple filter rules in the firewall's forward chain. So in my central site, I would created to virtual AP's each with own SSID... obivously each site uses its own one ...

I've been trying to picture it in my head and come up with a good method in which to link several networks together. We have 2-3 networks nearby in which we want to link via wireless link. I upgraded my RB951G-2HnD from v6.30.1 to v6.33.1 and immediately after doing so the PPPoE connection stops working to my ADSL bridged modem.

I had to downgrade back to get PPPoE working again..

Looks like we might have some issues with PPPoE in the release.

As a guess, if you have a static IP, I bet someone has found you have udp/53 open and sending you loads of bogus dns packets to this port, which has be spoofed with other ip's as the source. Which means for very little inbound traffic to use this exploit, your router is sending a massive amount of t...
