Re: US LTE recommendations [SOLVED]

Between wAP and LtAP, I prefer LtAP because is easy replace the internal antenna for an external one.

GPS was designed for vehicular purposes to track it, but also I not know clearly the real uses for it.

LtAP probably can use 2 modems (pci-e + usb) instead only one of wAP.

Re: MikroTik R11e-LTE pci-express missing

To get it work, SIM card needs to be inserted on slot number 3. U.FL pigtails with antennas are only necessary to get connection with the cell tower.

Insert the SIM card with LTE interface disabled and when you are done, enable it again.

Make sure to put it on the correct position.

This device has Licence level 3. So you can not set up as access point to propagate SSID. This device was designed for client side only.

If you want access point mode you can change this device for no lite version or upgrade this licence level to 4.

Yes, to LTE module attach 2x ACSMAULF. On back side of hAP, you can do the holes for the connectors. Hi! This is a good offer, but what about the device warranty then? Re: 2 LTE routers and a CCR1036

So, you can use both SXT on pass-though mode. On CCR -> ETH1 to SXT1, ETH2 to SXT2 and ETH3 or more ports as LAN. Your R7800 should be connected on LAN section to provide Wi-Fi.

ETH1: WAN1 -> SXT1
ETH2: WAN2 -> SXT2
ETH3: LAN -> Dahua Switch -> R7800

CCR can be the load balancer.

Re: Which Mikrotik 4G/LTE products support 2 external antennas?

LTE uses MIMO (normally 2x2).

The best recommendation is use a MIMO 2x2 antenna instead 2 SISO antennas.

Take look that mANT-LTE-5o have 2 SMA connectors and any LTE module have at least 2 U.FL connectors.

The best recommendation to use external antennas is LtAP series.

Hey but if you drag and drop the NPK file into Winbox, but where says "files" (not with the window "files" opened), it should copy to RAM instead Flash. LtAP also has 16MB flash memory and with this technique I never had problems to update. Normally I have 3 MB of free space.

If you reprogram the flash, most probably you will loose your license and I not believe that Mikrotik will give to you another to re-programing the flash memory.

Re: hEX PoE or Netmetal ac2 powering bug

First disconnect a bit your cameras and power up your AP alone. If fails with 48v, try with 24v.

Most probably if all works OK, you are overloading with your cameras your hEX PoE.

Switch + wAP is only a option. LtAP and LtAP mini also comes with Wi-Fi integrated. Also exists the RBM33G that comes with 3x Gigabit Ethernet (With this you can remove the switch) and 2x miniPCIe slots (one for LTE and the another for Wi-Fi for example). You need to ask to your distributors if some day they will have available your requested models.

If the answer is a "no", so you can buy MikroTik devices on Ebay. Apparently there are some trustworthy users selling.

Is possible. On last (not published) version of ROS 6 was solved an issue that makes that R11e-LTE-US not runs with R11e-LTE (International). Both interfaces I get running on RBM33G and LtAP (not mini). In addition you can configure Failover or Load Balancing or both. https://i.imgur.com/dwQOOnp.png...

That a Mikrotik device looses SIM card connection it's NOT normal. Scripting probably can help to re-enable the connection but it not should why occur that. If the device have this strange behavior, simply RMA.
