LtAP it's really great device, but if you installed on a sailboat, obviously the internal tiny antenna is not enough to receive well the signal. I suggest use external antenna for better results. Re: Trying to unbrick my RG750GL. [SOLVED]

I'm not sure if IP range affects, but I always use 192.168.88.x still having different IP range configured on RouterBoard.

The second tip is have enabled only the interface that you will use for Netinstall.

You tried using Netinstall under Windows machine?

Check that during NetInstall you not have any interface on in your computer except the Ethernet that you are using for Netinstall. It helps that NetInstall works. Also try with all ports on your hAP.

Re: Help me choose a two-SIM Mikrotik solution: RBM33G vs. LtAP vs. ?

The only problem maybe is the antenna gain, on both cases you can put external antennas, but is really hard to find some antenna with the gain of LHG. Obiusly for indoor, use RBM33G and for outdoor use LtAP. Now I never used USB ports on the...

I suggest to you take contact directly with Mikrotik support here.

You will need some MiniPCIe to USB adapter, instructions and software (Flash tool and drivers) provided by Mikrotik support.

These are some cards and adapters tested by me:

Chipset of Wi-Fi card: Realtek RTL8812AE

Anyway, unfortunately this chipset is not listed and the hardware listed is completely old:

Appears to be that not more new wireless cards will be supported by RouterOS.

If you want maximum security and forget DMZ, firewall rules, port forwarding and NAT problems, simply use ZeroTier or Tailscale (Best is use both, one of fail over). Is my best recommendation.
