Re: Bypass the VPN for SMB access from outside [SOLVED]

You don't need any setup on your Mikrotik to use ZeroTier or Tailscale, both are programs that you can install under Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iPhone, RaspberryPi and more devices. I know that Windows by default have ping blocked. Now I added all ICMPv4 traffic to permit on all interfaces and IP's on both machines. If I ping from RBM33G to PC1 and from RB450G to PC2, both works well.

SIM card not inserted, but it is inserted and the SIM works normally on a smartphone = Broken SIM port of your MikroTik.

Sadly this is a common problem with MikroTik.

I know that yes and you need configure with advanced mode the WLAN interface to specify that you are using the external antenna. Now I can't recommend do this because the internal interface has low power, putting higher gain antenna not would be to much difference.

With RBM33G you can do it, because have 3 Ethernet ports and 2 miniPCIe slots.

Re: Serial Console connected, but no response visible

Make sure that your console port of your RB3011 is configured with the correct parameters. I searched a bit on Internet about cables that works and I found that original Cisco console cable (DB9F - RJ45M) works.

0.0.0.0/0 or blank is the same result. RouterOS assume that if dst. address is any (0.0.0.0/0) is best not set these value and for optimization keep it blank.

If 5Ghz AC radio is too expensive, you can use N radio instead AC, but also using 5Ghz frequency and you will can reach 50+Mbps.

For MIMO 2x2 X-Polarity I recommend this: L-COM HG72710XP-065
I also have the Chataeu12 and requires a decent antenna. Do you have any recommendations that can be bought in (SE) Asia? Many thanks
For now I only tested L-COM HG72710XP-065 and MikroTik mANT-LTE-5O.

First stablish a separate vlan or assign static dhcp to the devices that you want to block.

Next create a layer 7 rule that filters youtube content and assign it to vlan o specific addresses that you want.

Instead using the rules that you defined on firewall, on IP->Services put for each service the range of IPs available to access to your RouterBOARD. Disable your last firewall rules and define the access using IP -> Services.

Probably you have some config that is limiting your throughput. What is the link negotiation of your WAN interface?

Also paste your config here using export hide-sensitive option.

With your 3011 reach 30Mbps should be overkill.

Exactly, If you replace LoRA module for a compatible UMTS/LTE module, it should works with SIM card inserted and the device properly configured. If you want an outdoor device that support LTE and LoRA at same time, LtAP (Not mini version) should be works.

Re: Configuration RB450GX4

To use serial port you need usb to serial converter and a null cable modem.

You can use Trendnet TU-S9 + Tripplite P450-006 for example.

Using default config on serial port should be work.
