The signal strength/quality is important but also important is how much overloaded is the tower that you are connecting. Sadly this last you can't see it.

Normally at 3-4 AM on week days you can discard this and evaluate the relationship between both things.

Re: Conection from a router to another in the same DHCP

I'm assuming that you are using private IP class C (192.168.X.X), so, 107.1 and 107.27 would be: 192.168. 107.1 and 192.168. 107.27 using /24 netmask (255.255.255.0) If i'm right my question is where is your end device (PC, MAC, smartphone, etc.)? If I understood, R1 gives an IP address to R2 by DHC...

By I know, all LTE connections are NATed by ISP internally, so, you can't control that. You can "open" ports on Mikortik, but your ISP will block these connections for obviously security reasons by I know. You need a completely bridged public IP directly on your MK interface without any NA...

Use your LTE connection with higher distance route to establish your Ether1 as main WAN. With this all the traffic included the Chateau itself, would be go for Ether1.

Re: RBGPOE vs RBPOE

You can combine gigabit ports with fast Ethernet ports (10/100) but on gigabit side you can't use the port with full features, but yes, it works anyway.

It is normal. I have LtAP LTE kit and also is named as LtAP-2HnD. This last is the base of the device (without any mini pci-e card).

Re: v6.49.6 [stable] is released!

Upgraded today successfully from 6.49.0 LtAP, PowerBox, BaseBox 2 and BaseBox 5.

I'm thinking that ROS 6 will be not receive more updates and all is for ROS 7. I'm not sure if I will do upgrade to ROS 7 yet.

Re: R11e-LTE6 failed firmware upgrade

I never used these adapters as "modems", only for update manually the firmware of the Mikrotik LTE interfaces. This has been done connecting the adapter to a PC, not to a Mikrotik device.

Re: RBM33G POE Out

RBM33G only supports PoE IN. So you can not use it to power another devices.

SXT LTE is the only LTE device that can do that you need.

An alternative can be use a PoE router as "switch" like PowerBox Pro for outdoor or hEX PoE for indoor.

Re: Are mikrotic routers next generation firewalls?

Is not necessary pay for syslog server.

PRTG network analyzer also comes with syslog server sensors to put log into it. While you don't exceed 100 sensors with this program, it can be free.

Also you have free Linux solutions like Adiscon LogAnalyzer.

You have problem with masquerade rules.

Instead of use interface list, use directly the LTE interfaces separately.

Hey! I'm looking to build out better 4G coverage for a failover setup and I'm really interested in how you've done this. I see two sets of the L-COM DAS HG72710XP-065 in use so are you running a second LTE card in the LtAP? Also, what stands are you using for the masts? Simply open the device, dril...

Really weird. If you can't access by MAC using Winbox and connected directly, the only way is recover the device using Netinstall without the option "keep user configuration".

I have both and actually I'm using LtAP. Both works great. The only problem maybe is the antenna gain, on both cases you can put external antennas, but is really hard to find some antenna with the gain of LHG. Obiusly for indoor, use RBM33G and for outdoor use LtAP. Now I never used USB ports on the...
