Re: Replace wAP AC (mipsbe) with cAP AX

Would the the difference with a hAP AX be significant? (It's not an option as it doesn't support 48v PoE, but curiosity want to know!).

Replace wAP AC (mipsbe) with cAP AX

I'm currently using a few wAP AC (old ones) mounted on the wall about 20cm from the ceiling. I'm thinking of replacing them with the new cAP AX. As the old ones are wall mounted access points and the cap is a ceiling mounted access point I'm wondering how this will affect my coverage when using the ...

Re: WAP AC - new version - without triple chain

Why not call it wAP ac²? This i super confusing in webshops. I chose a wAP AC using Mikrotik product page and ordered it at local webshop, I got the old version. Some webshops dont link part-number or sku and name is all you got. Wondering if I should return it but it seems like old wAP ac might be ...

Re: new - wAP ac

Glad to see this. Any idea on actual release date? Shipments? and price? It's being offered on that site for 250zl / 60€ / 65$ / 45£ plus tax. Should that be accurate and the hardware stable, then I'd say this is one hell of a kit :) Grüße, Philip If that price is correct it would be very cost effi...

Re: v6.35rc [release candidate] is released, new wireless package!

Yeah, pppoe-client fastpath support!!! :D :D Now I can reach 306Mbps download speed (http://www.speedtest.net), and CPU is 34%-40% (on 6.34.2 was 85%), tested on RB951G / Movistar / Spain. http://www.speedtest.net/result/5099976207.png Thanks MikroTik, great job!! Yes, nice feature indeed. :) http:...

Re: Hardware for Fiber based LAN

Eventually wireless will be de facto standard for anything not in the server room. Connection speeds will keep increasing while reducing latency.

Re: When will be RB3011UiAS-2HnD-IN available?

I've been waiting since august, so I was pretty excited to see the normal RB3011 released. Now I've been waiting for desktop version ever since! :) Hope it comes fast!

Thanks for this. Google translate to English is really bad but I get a good idea of the review. Thanks again!

Re: RB3011 Block diagram?

Did you register just to post about a router that isn't even released yet? This is the RB3011 waiting topic, not some random opensource router topic.

Re: RB3011 Block diagram?

You should better use google translate, it sure does a better job. :D
I understood what he was trying to say without a problem and I agree with him fully. It's getting hard to have Mikrotik be my #1 brand when they are not communicating and keep delaying products.

Re: IGMP Snooping

+1 for igmp snooping

When I found out this was missing (lol) I had to dust off an old AT-9924 to do the switching which is kind of ridiculous. (Also it's very noisy! :P)

Re: FastTrack - New feature in 6.29

Do I understand correctly, that it does not work with l2tp interface?
No, currently it is not supported
Also doesn't work with PPPoE clients AFAIK. Is this going to be supported in the future? (And just to be bold, any ETA? :) )
