Re: Connect to my public IP inside my LAN

i think you need to setup your routes correctly. and let the pc know which is the gateway and how to route the ips in and out of the network.

Re: How is responsible for bytes calculation in hotspot ?

bytes is calculated by free radius attributes.if you want facebook to be free then you have to include its domain name in free radius config so that it doesnot include it when calculating bytes used

Re: Recommended Design for Wireless Network in a large institution?

Crazy setup.but the key is to keep it simple.you will need a base station for every town so the town's ap can connect to.okay thats obvious.then you will have to connect all the base stations to a central base station for management.this setup makes scalling and troubleshooting easy

Re: Scheduled disconnecting HotSpot users except bypassed users (IP binding)

An idea is "bypassed users" must be on a different network.so that they can access network at all time.then all other users will be on another network say 10.0.0.0 which has time restrictions

Re: HotSpot Walled Garden after Login (Walled Garden with Internet)

well if you donot want to charge user when they login and just want them to reg for records then you have to remove the billing aspect of your installation.it will mean to create new radius groups without billing and put your registered users in them

The biggest problem I see is the "member logging". I've never seen anyone who has correctly done this. I need hourly/daily/weekly logs so I can create reports. Could anyone share his work?
do you mean you want ,to do automatic member login ?

Yes you can.just go to the hotspot login page and code your disclaimer there.but for best practices the disclaimer is agreed to during initial registration.

Re: WiFi Hotspot POP UP TO AUTHENTICATE - mOBILE PHONES ETC

The solution to this is very simple.get a hotspot system like coovachili that REMEMBERS the device mac address during initial registration.so that during subsequent logins (using apps or browsing)the device mac address if its on the whitelist its let in.i know coovachili does this.i guess its a feat...

Re: Virtual AP and HTTP authentication based on Radius user groups

You have to create radius group with the profile you want.then when user registers you associate him with the appropriate group.so next time he logs in he logs into the correct group.in theory thats how it should work.so get scripting

Re: Wireless Hotspot Traffic shaping rule enforce?

Its very simple what you need is to use mikrotik capive portal with a radius software.so radius server you can make a radius group lets call it 1mb plan whereby if a customer reaches his 1gb quota he's throttled to your desired speed.check out daloradius for this
