Re: Recommendtions for new network

Hi, Just a quick overview on the design itself. I am curious as to why you are using Groove + panel 24dB PtP. This is single polarized then and according to the design you will have multiple Access Points behind this. I'd rather have 2x LHG5 or XL5's pointing to each other. Especially at 12km i'd ra...

Re: v6.42.1 [current]

Got 2 separate issues. One is verified and can be duplicated. Other is still being investigated: When there is a AP Bridge / Station(Station Bridge) with a RB433 on either the AP or Station in 802.11 the station will not connect Rx rates whatsoever. This is true regardless of password, connect list ...

Re: Schedule Reboot

I Believe you only wish to reboot the device on days that RouterOS upgrades have been done? Do you manually do the upgrades on each device or do you have a way to do them all remotely but just need a reboot on those days? There is a few ways you can go about this and one way is to use netwatch to tr...

Re: Export Full Config for Disaster Recovery

Some devices seem cross compatible with backups. For instance a netbox5 works fine with a groove. It seems only devices with different switch chips have issues. Like backing up a RB951Ui to a hAP lite completely changes the interface ether order. Or a PowerBOX to a RB951G. One is a PoE switch and th...

It all depends on license level. That unit comes with level 4 license. So 20 simultaneous user manager users is the maximum.

Just to be sure you've got the idea: it is not too big problem not to get response or get buggy version (read as 'not tested well') if we talk about cheap home routers. I also understand MT is a small company where too few people can pay their attention to improve anything, while they keep adding n...

winbox.exe went from 125KB to 1620KB so I can understand that. not so easy to understand why it increased so much in size... I guess they changes the core of WinBox architechture. Just tested this theory of failed-startup for power issue. Still activates the fallback....

You can switch active partition remotely. Although a reboot will be required again.

This might work well with Trigger-automatised upgrades if there is a fail.
