Re: UPS Email notification with CyberPower UPS

Come on, Out of all the people on this forum no one has their tick sending UPS status updates over email?

Re: Anyone use their "Drop All" input rule to make a black list of addresses?

As of today I have added port 10001 to my firewall also.. We have many people trying to scan for UBNT hardware! So my routers drop it by default now and log the IPs who are trying to use it.. Great write up and information, thanks for taking the time. Reference the 10001 and UBNT, I recently read a...

Re: Anyone use their "Drop All" input rule to make a black list of addresses?

We use RFC1918 on our core network at one point my White_List had 10.0.0.0/8 but now I have bot nets inside my network that scan the whole RFC1918 so my White_List has my management IPs in it and I can add an IP to it on the fly if I need by port knocking. The staged list started back when we did no...

Feature Request Share Address List Across Routers

Please add the ability for routers in a network to share address list. For example I have all of my routers set to drop every thing on the input unless you are in my whitelist. I still log and have a staged list based on new connection attempts to ports 21,22,23,80,443,8291,8728,8729, If a cracker a...

Re: Anyone use their "Drop All" input rule to make a black list of addresses?

I kinda do something like that.. I don't save all the dropped addresses I just save the ones that bang on the door then block them from being forwarded across my network. Here is the meat and potatoes of how I do that.. add action=accept chain=input comment="input allow estab/relate/untrack&quo...

Re: GSM/LTE and Mikrotik

Ok, I got all the parts in today and set it every thing up. I had to search around to find all the info so I am hoping some one has some input for the U.S.Carrier FreedomPop "They are a AT&T MVNO" I am unsure if it is not connecting due to low signal or wrong settings. I set the card u...

Re: New Ethernet port flap issue enquiery, PLS JOIN!

Ok so I am going to attempt to find root cause of my problems.. Luckily our current setup starts having issues as soon as you connect the AP to the Mikrotik. We have 3 B5c radios on this tower that are not having issues, Yet the newly installed A5c is flapping. This is an attempt to narrow down what...

Re: New Ethernet port flap issue enquiery, PLS JOIN!

I had originally posted the text below in its own thread, then i found this thread so i am moving the post. The WISP I work for has been in business for 10 years and has had no documented cases of port flapping when using Mikrotik Routers with Motorola or UBNT devices. Up until this point any ether...

Re: X86 install from USB

If you want to unpack the RamDisk you can do so with
7za e initrd.rgz
Then make a working directory with.
mkdir ramdisk
Then mount the extracted RamDisk to the working directory with
mount -t sysfs -o loop initrd ramdisk

X86 install from USB

I had the need to install X86 ROS from usb as I am attempting to put it on a thinclient. The thinclient does not have a CD rom and the way the flash module is made you need a custom cable to connect it to a drive bridge. In the past I have had to make bootable USB images from CD images back when eve...

GSM/LTE and Mikrotik

I am looking for a Mikrotik with Cellular card. I see the RB411U has a SIM slot on board. I cannot locate a list of compatible WWAN 3G/LTE cards. Does any one have a list of compatible cards or has worked with this in the past and can give me information on what card you used.

Thanks

Re: The Future of The Dude??

It is just utter crap that mikrotik will not develop a dude client for the os their main product is based on! They could at least work with WineHQ to insure the freaking thing works with wine with out crashing! They promote all this command line BS on the wiki for setting up a MikroTik but say the u...

We are having issues running The Dude on Linux and Mac machines. Windows is just no longer an option all of our techs can work in the unix environments thus we have moved away from Windows. In the past few months The Dude has been crashing more and more running under Wine. Will we get a new hopefull...

3x3 MIMO ??

If i were to take three sectors, 1-120deg and 2-90deg and set them up in a over lap configuration as shown below with a single chain from a 3x3 MIMO to each sector would it be of any benefit. http://www.pagesbyalex.com/samimages/3-Chain-Panel-Setup.jpg I have read that a single chain carries most of...
