Re: v6.36 [current] is released!

Thank you for the multicast fix. This was causing nightmares for me since my ISP's switch doesn't do IGMP snooping and is bombarding my WAN interfaces with multicast traffic.

Re: v6.35.4 [current] is released!

I think some 30% of the posts on these IGMP snooping threads are the same person. The admins can clearly see it. So sad.  I did say repeatedly that spam on the forum will not speed up anything. Developers will not type any faster.  Hey I should be verified different person, and I could really use I...

Re: Slow VPN tunnels (SSL, PPTP, L2TP)

Can you post your VPN config output. I use pptp and l2tp and can consistently push 50M+ with no issue.  Does your server have enough bandwidth to handle the tx/rx of your speed test? How far is the server from the location and what server are you running a speed test to? Are you running the test vi...

Re: v6.35.4 [current] is released!

Having a consistent issue with RB450G running this version where routes that are using routing marks will become inactive, and the only way to make the route active again is to reboot router.

Downgrading to v34.6 fixes this issue so it appears to be related to this specific version.

Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

DSL is still everywhere here in the states. Also it's frequently the only network medium available in an area due to the virtual monopolies ISPs have. Adding DSL Modulation/Demodulation to RouterOS would be extremely helpful for our company.

Re: Newsletter 68

Regarding lack of ethernet ports there's this solution depending on your performance needs. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS/Router-On-A-Stick Of course this solution only adds up to the final price so obviously it's not ideal :) Haha I had actually considered a setup similar to this, but I'm afr...

Re: HAP AC

We have it and it works fine. I have one right in front of me. But some paperwork takes longer than usual.
Out of curiosity, are you able to elaborate at all on what is the biggest hold up for the release?

Re: Newsletter 68

While the cost is much higher you could make your own Mikrotik router with AC wifi. Just use a routerboard with a mini-pci, an antenna, and an enclosure. http://routerboard.com/RB912UAG-2HPnD http://routerboard.com/R11e-5HacD http://routerboard.com/CA411-711 http://routerboard.com/ACSWIM With the a...
