Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD beeping every 32~33 seconds

LOL, found it.

It's a smoke alarm with a low battery that we removed from the ceiling a while ago and stuck into a drawer (which happened to be right next to my router).

Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD beeping every 32~33 seconds

Never mind. I guess it's not the RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD after all. I completely powered it off and I still hear the beep. Something else in my living room is making the beep and I just can't find the source, lol.

Re: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD beeping every 32~33 seconds

That sure is strange, as the RB4011 does NOT have a beeper! (in older MikroTik models there always was a beeper, but it seems to have been cost-optimized out). So when a 4011 beeps, it can only be things like the switchmode regulator. Not good when that beeps. Maybe you have PoE enabled on port 10 ...

RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD beeping every 32~33 seconds

I have a RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD, updated to the latest stable RouterOS 7.3.1. For a while now, it has been emitting a very faint and short beep every 32~33 seconds. I checked the logs and I couldn't spot anything odd. Does anybody have any idea what's going on? For the record, the device seems to work....

Re: v7.1.3 is released!

WebFig still won't accept domain names as servers when I try to configure the NTP client. Oddly enough, it works when I configure via WinBox or the terminal.

Re: v6.44.2 [stable] is released!

Looks like they fixed the loose connection tracking issue in the latest 6.45beta31.

Re: v6.44 [stable] is released!

Maybe it could be related to the bug that I reported above? (loose TCP connection tracking no longer works) It could be that there were changes in the connection tracking firewall that have side effects like this. Looks like we're all hit by the same problem, manifested over different application p...

Re: v6.44 [stable] is released!

Hi Since the last update we have had multiple clients complaining about existing sites where VoIP experiences issues, from de-registration, no audio, one way audio. Currently we downgrading the clients back to 6.43.8 which works. I've sent multiple supouts and support tickets to Support with no fee...

Re: v6.44 [stable] is released!

Has anybody else ran into a weird problem where SSH would not connect after upgrading to 6.44? Everything was still working up to and including 6.43.12. I have a setup that's like this: [Ubuntu Desktop] <-- Office LAN (172.26.2.0/24) --> [RouterBoard "ovpn-endpoint" running OpenVPN server]...

Accidentally plugged the wrong side of RBGPOE to my computer's network adapter

I was trying to configure a BaseBox2 and I accidentally plugged the POE+DATA side of the RBGPOE injector to my computer's network adapter (which doesn't do PoE, not surprisingly). Could it cause damage to my network adapter? Or does the RBGPOE first try to detect whether the device is PoE-capable be...

802.11ac version of RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN

Is there any plan to make a 802.11ac version of RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN? Basically a RB2011UA-5(H|HP|SHP)ac(D|T)-IN would be great.

I know there is the hAP ac, but it only has 5 Ethernet ports. I would still prefer a 10 port device without the need for me to add another switch.

Re: Dynamic bridge ports

I have pretty much the same question, and I find docmarius' answer incomplete. I have a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN with RouterOS 6.40.4. I have a bridge-local. spf1, ether1, ether2, and ether6 are manually set as member ports of bridge-local. spf1 is unused. ether1 is the uplink gateway. ether2 is the maste...

LTE scanner buggy

I have a RB912UAG-5HPnD, with a Huawei ME909u-521 LTE module. The board is running RouterOS 6.33, firmware 3.24. It seems that the LTE scanning function is quite buggy. At times, it would not return any result after scanning for more than 10 minutes. And even if it returns results, it doesn't always...

How to log traffic amount?

I have a bunch of RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN, running RouterOS 6.31. How can I log the amount of traffic going through a network interface with RouterOS 6.31? Specifically, I'm about to set up a PC with SNMP, and a server will be running cacti to query the PC using SNMP. I want to know how much traffic is g...
