Re: Best VPN

For initiator side port forwarding is not required. Trying to do a peer-to-peer tunnel will be problematic because you have to specify a peer IP address or hostname on both VPN endpoints. What do you specify on the one trying to connect to the device behind the NAT? The IP of the NATing device? Or ...

Re: Best VPN

when one of the pears is behind NAT ( without possibility to do port forwarding ) with DHCP. You won't be able to find any documentation for that case. Reason is simple - it cannot be done. Wrong. It can be done - NAT-T and port forwarding, depending on which side is behind NAT. Example, documentat...

Re: Best VPN

Funny, most responders seems to recommend IPSec, but I doubt if any of them did even try it in circumstances like yours. Be careful when choosing IPsec if you want layer 2 (ISO OSI) site2site VPN (which is must in enviroment with AD, PXE deployment and so on) when one of the pears is behind NAT (wit...

Re: Dude still graphs even while module is down

Cache time and negative cache time... the default for negative cache time is 300 seconds, that is how long the dude remembers that it could not retrieve a value. Hello & sorry for digging out out topic, do you have the knowledge if this behavior changed in new version of the dude? Do you use new ve...

Re: Disable DHCP option 3 (router) for specific client.

Most likely you want some system to be unable to route traffic to other networks, e.g. internet. You can solve that in another way. When you click on its lease you can make it static, and you can add a filter in the router that blocks this specific address in the forward chain. That should have the...

Re: Disable DHCP option 3 (router) for specific client.

I think the RouterOS DHCP server does not have this capability, unless I have overlooked something.
The ISC DHCP server often used on Linux can do this. Maybe you can run it on another system in the network.
Thank you, I was afraid it looks like that.

Disable DHCP option 3 (router) for specific client.

Hey, I'd like to know if it's possible to disable default gateway only for one specific client and also when there's already configured default gateway in DHCP Servers->Networks->some-network->gateway and I'll configure DHCP option 3 in DHCP Server->Options only to specific static lease how ROS deci...

Re:

Maybe you can try to make the users in new dude server first, log by the user existing in the imported file and then try to import. It may help. Thank you for suggestion. I did that: - removed dude store from x86 ROS, - I've logged correctly from client without the password, - I've created same adm...

Re: The Dude is back! v6.34rc test build released

Does anyone of you have had any luck to export config from dude v4 beta (windows) and import it to the latest x86 ROS (free license via vmware) version? I have personally connection loop (after import data from old version), dude client connected, then showing the map (each device seems to be active...

Re: RB951G-2HND bootloop after overwrite firmware

Try to do site to site VPN with your "standard vpn implementation" when 2 routers are behind (P)NAT and one of them (or none of them) can have port forward.
