Parts

Where can I purchase parts? Specifically, I am looking for a replacement “door” (the plastic cover for the Ethernet ports) for an RBOmniTikUPA-5HnD.

Well I feel silly that I didn't try that first thing. That worked. Thank you.

Re: CAPsMAN Disappeared from WebFig.

If you compare the web interface vs winbox, you can see there are a few other things missing, like mpls and openflow.

CAPsMAN Disappeared from WebFig.

I installed and enabled the wireless package on an RB850Gx2. The CAPsMAN menu does not appear in webfig on the left, but I can access caps-man in the console. I checked the skin design and it doesn't appear there either. ROS 6.42.6.

RB850Gx2 Support?

It's a real shame that The Dude is not supported on the RB850Gx2 - it's such a powerful box and has expandable storage. Are there any plans for this in the future?

Re: hAP Lite - Port 4 Causes Switch to Not Work At All

This would happen even if I had nothing connected to the switch at all.

I replaced the device and loaded a backup onto the new device and everything seems to be working fine. I'm going to chalk it up to faulty hardware.

Re: hAP Lite - Port 4 Causes Switch to Not Work At All

Anyone from Mikrotik have any ideas on this? I still have not been able to solve it. It happens on bugfix, current and rc.

Re: hAP Lite - Port 4 Causes Switch to Not Work At All

Interestingly, this log entry seems to coincide with when the switch stops working:
Aug 16 12:15:36 mikrotik interface, warning ether2-master: bridge port received packet with own address as source address (64:d1:54:44:38:98), probably loop

Re: hAP Lite - Port 4 Causes Switch to Not Work At All

To be clear, when I say that the switch stops working, I mean that I can connect to the device over wifi, but I cannot ping any of the devices connected to the switch. And the devices on the switch cannot ping the router.

hAP Lite - Port 4 Causes Switch to Not Work At All

This is a really interesting one. When I have port 4 enabled on my hAP lite, the switch stops working after a little bit. Additionally, the port shows "running" in the UI even though nothing is connected to it. And the light on the port is on and flashing. This even happens after a reset. Here's a c...

Re: IPv6 inbound timing out most of the time?

Also, is it proper that my WAN interface is NOT getting an routable IPv6 address? In the addresses list, it only has its local fe80 address, and vlan101 is the interface that's getting the public address: [admin@router] /ipv6 address> export verbose # jan/11/2016 19:01:29 by RouterOS 6.34rc34 # soft...

Re: IPv6 inbound timing out most of the time?

You need to allow icmpv6 in on the WAN interface. I would guess that neighbor discovery is getting borked on your wan interface because you're not allowing ICMPv6. (it would be the same as if you disabled ARP on an IPv4 interface) I thought I did, but I updated some of my rules to specify the WAN i...

Re: IPv6 inbound timing out most of the time?

This is still happening. The connection gets stuck at "syn received" and then eventually just times out. But it occasionally works. What's going on here?

IPv6 inbound timing out most of the time?

This is happening both on the current release and the current RC. Here is my IPv6 setup: /ipv6 dhcp-server add address-pool=twc disabled=yes interface=vlan101 lease-time=15m name=server1 /ipv6 address add address=xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:: from-pool=twc interface=vlan101 /ipv6 dhcp-client add add-default...

Re: "No RP address for this group"

OK so this is all happening on one device - an RB850Gx2. I have 3 VLANs that I am routing between. So I would add this 'loopback' bridge there? What subnet would the address be on?

"No RP address for this group"

I'm seeing lots of these in my logs from pim: 12:12:36 pim, warning RX WHOLEPKT signal: vif_index = 31 src = 10.1.1.2 dst = 239.255.255.250 len = 201: no RP address for this group I don't know what's causing them, and it doesn't appear to be affecting anything negatively. Dropped invalid packets?

So there's a default firewall rule to drop invalid fwd packets. I enabled logging on that rule and I see lots of stuff getting dropped. What's the deal here? Something in my setup? Below are the log entries, I can paste exports if needed. 3:22:33 firewall, info [DROP INVALID FWD] forward: in:vlan101 ...

VLAN Questions.

Relatively new to RouterOS and I've been doing some research. I have my VLANs set up the way I want them, but I'd like to make sure it's optimal. I'm on an RB850Gx2. Below are some relevant exports. Right now, I have all 4 ports ether2-5 set up to be trunks for vlans 101, 102 and 103. No devices are...
