Re: SwitchOS CLI

This is not a nice to have anymore. It’s a necessity in a world where are moving towards highly automated networks. Need a way for scripts and automation engines to automatically configure/provision SwOS based switches.

Would love to see this implemented as well, even is it’s a basic one.

Re: CSS610-8G-2S+IN Switching Capacity

OK.. found the issue.. The laptops weren't on the same network (as the server), causing it to route through a router connected upstream (which has a 1Gigabit port). That explains the bottleneck. Amateur mistake. Can confirm that with 4 x laptops connected to CSS610 (this time on the same network), a...

Re: CSS610-8G-2S+IN Switching Capacity

Does this diagram help? CSS610_Switch_10G_Test.JPG I know that the bottleneck is not on the server or the CRS309 switch.. as I have test laptop devices attached to CRS309 to perform the same test (against the server), which didn't have trouble going above 1G to the server. Is there any other informa...

CSS610-8G-2S+IN Switching Capacity

Hi, I got CSS610-8G-2S+IN switch recently for the fact that it comes with 2 x SFP+ ports (along with 8 x 1G ports). With a 10Gbe SFP+ transceiver connected to a 10G uplink, I assumed that all 8 x 1G ports would be able to switch at full 1G speed to any servers upstream. But iperf3 test I did suggest...

HAP AC3 Antenna

Hi, I have a few questions with HAP AC3 antenna specifically, and hope the wireless experts on this forum can assist: Are the two antennas identical and are used for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? Similarly, are both antenna connector at the back of AC3 used for both frequencies? Or is one 2.4Ghz and the oth...

Re: Do CRS305&309 support other brands' RJ45 SFP module?

@efalcon -> Curious if you ever got the Ubiquiti UF-RJ45-1g SFP module to work in your CRS305/309.
I would be interested to know, as the Ubiquiti SFP module is significantly cheaper than Mikrotik original SFP.

Re: CRS317 10G -> 1G traffic slow, everything else fine

Says “crs3xx - improved data transmission between 10G and 1G ports;”

Anyone able to measure how much of an improvement that is?

Re: RB850Gx2 vs RB450Gx4

The test results for Ethernet test result for the two models seem to be consistent in that RB450GX4 is faster than the older RB850GX2. But IPsec throughput test published seems to indicate the older RB850GX2 model performing better than the new RB450GX2, by quite a bit too. I wonder why that is? Is ...

Re: [Feature request] fetch: add user-agent header

+1 for header support in "Fetch" tool.
More and more sites require "header" to be passed along with the request as a security requirement (e.g. for authorisation), and I would love to see this implemented!

Re: POST Request with fetch

Can I get an idea when will "header" support be added to fetch tool? This is quite useful for accessing API data which requires headers for authorization. Example by Xenhat already demonstrates this with DNS updates through Cloudflare which requires passing header details relating to Autho...

Re: upload speed is 25% below download speed

I have a RB850Gx2 (with 2 x CPU) with 5 x Gig Ethernet ports. Using iPerf3 test.. between a PC (port 4) and VM on ESX server (port 5) connected on "vlan2".. My "download" speed seems to approach 850Mbps.. so no complaints here >iperf3 -c 192.168.12.133 -w 1MB -R Connecting to hos...

Kimmy,

Did you ever resolve this problem? I have similar issue to what you described with iPerf test. So would love to know what you did to fix it.

Cannot Multicast within a VLAN

Hi all.. I seem to having an issue with multicast/broadcast traffic on a VLAN (protocols like DLNA, Chromecast etc etc). I have a Mikrotik wireless AP in 'ap bridge' mode attached to RB850gx2 router trunk port (ether4 in this case). Some key characteristics I thought might be important for my issue ...
