there has been no other feature requested as mush as this OpenVPN compression LZO and UDP.

Any explanation why it is not implemented?

We have the same problem! We have (possibly) narrowed it down to the dst-nat firewall rule with port 80. chain=dstnat action=dst-nat to-addresses=192.168.1.243 to-ports=80 protocol=tcp dst-port=80 log=no log-prefix="" when the rule is ON (active) the router starts having problems in a hour...
