Hello, First off, I think you should look at your MCS... 0-7 are for chain 0, 8-15 for chain 1, 16-23 chain 2..... you have 2 chains and should only concern yourself with 8-15 as 0-7 only have influence when working in single chain mode. change your MCS to al least have MCS10.11,14,15 and try differ...
MCS-16-23 are for a third chain. Just because they are there doesn't mean they are usable. The options are just baked into the RouterOS and no "per device".
Each chain (antenna) has 8 MCS options, so 0-15.
I haven't seen any information here on forum but hopefully this version patches the malware attack "Slingshot". It was only announced 2 days ago, but possibly it was known already to Mikrotik and fixed, as mentioned at the end of the article in the link below. https://www.engadget.com/2018...
1. CAT6 or higher would be preferred. SXT LTE is only CAT3 and I can't anywhere close to my CAT6 modem in my phone (mostly because CAT3 can't use aggrigation, if I fully understand the differences, creating a more stable bandwidth) https://www.westbase.io/the-importance-of-lte-advanced-cat-6/ 2. For...
The only option I can see IF you want to use Mikrotik for this is RB953GS-5HnT-RP with an additional 2.4GHz AP connected to an ethernet port to get 2 SIMs and Dual Band WiFi coverage. A bit expensive but should meet all your requirements...just a bit overkill on the 5GHz side, though :P https://mikr...
I've had problems with quickMOUNT pro (standard version). I get them with mANT 15 devices and they are always easily movable even after being VERY strongly tightened. They are basically the same mount only differing in endings that connect to the antennas.
I'm getting false errors messages on CPU and Memory clock speeds. At first they scared me but then I read from documentation that they are running at proper speeds. I did decide to 1 return upgraded device to the previous bugfix because of a new installation and didn't want to risk, that was more on...
First question is, are the place you want to connect in generally the same region..say about 85 dgrees or less degrees for the mounting point of the AP? If yes, then SXT SA5 /sa5 AC would be fine with the SXTsq Lite5-US. If no, then you can look into the omni directional offering for Mikrotik, RBOmn...
Hello, I want to configure maximum time the user is allowed to access the internet. After this time the user must reauthenticate. I found two related properties, what is the difference? https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Hotspot/User Sub-menu: /ip hotspot user - Property limit-uptime - Uptime...
He is using 2.4Ghz not 5Ghz. A BaseBox 2 with dual pol omni would work much better. I know that..just an example.... :/ there are stonger mini-pci cards. for example: https://www.gandalf.nl/pdf/SR2.pdf (mikrotik compatible? not sure, but there are better cards) And yes, of course a fully upgrade wo...
Your antenna is strong enough but your card is the weak point. You can only use up to 18 dBm @ 802.11g 6mbps data rate with -90 on Rx sensitivity . I would find a card that can use more output power, plus this seems like an old card and better to upgrade to an a/b/g/n 2.4Ghz with like 20-25 dBm outp...
Basically like mistry7 wrote: 1. Lower your TX Power, best is around -55dB 2. Check for clean Channel SXT SA5 AC have MAX 31 dBm of transmit power and at that distance, the 2 radios are "screaming" at one another instead of "politely talking" They most likely disconnect because o...
What about (Ce | Ceee | eC | eCee | eeCe | eeeC ) ??? eC mean Extend Channel below : 20Mhz? eCee mean Extend Extend Channel below : 40Mhz? eeCe mean Extend Channel below : 80Mhz? eeeC mean Extend Channel below : 160Mhz? or how? and why Ce and Ceee but there is no Cee ? Each letter denotes a 20MHz c...
You should post your config concerning the LTE part of the config then maybe we can move forward in finding a solution. Please hide all critical parts of your configuration when posting. use " /export compact " in the terminal to get the full config and copy from it everything concerning y...
A reliable signal is -50...-55 Also in case of heavy attenuation like snow, if will ever happen, manual rate will not work (can't select lower rate) and link will disconnect. Been there, done that. It's roulette. I've had heavy snow on the link I showed and it wasn't a problem. BUT YES, I agree tha...
I like to run a bandwidth test with out limits set and see what tx/rx values the link holds. After that I go to manually config the data rates (removing 6-54mpbs rates) then going the HT MCS and only checking the 2-3 MCS values that corresponds to the rate(s) you see in the bandwidth test. You shoul...
What is that package for? My E3372 works without that (in LTE mode). Does it offer extra monitoring or configurability? I could be wrong, but I believe it is needed for boards that have the sim slot on them or when a mini pci-e LTE modem is attached so that you can add in the APN, which LTE band, a...
I forgot that usb works differently, you need to create a ppp-out interface and add the APN and pin to that. I normally use SXt LTE and mini-pcie setups :P You can watch the video from the link below in Spanish but you will see what he does. The main info is in the first 10 min of the video. This sh...
Ok, then you simply don't have the package installed :) Go download and install the LTE package from https://mikrotik.com/download (see pictures). Unzip the file, drag & drop (ignore the version type on my screenshot) it in winbox, and then reboot. Should work after that. Better to update all to...
Have you tried change what I have in the photo? I had to do this for a mini-pcie LTE modem to get it to recognize the interface ALSO, do you have the LTE package installed on the router? Check in system packages, you might have to download it in "all packages" RouterOS version for your OS ...
Hi, I used this set up for a client here in Poland and it is stable and working very well. If you simply ignore the Polish txt on the web pages you can easily find what is needed :) 1) RP-SMA -->Wytyk N (50cm) http://r.twenga.pl/g3.php?pg=VDs0MjM0OTg5MDQ3MzYzMDc3NzUzOzU3ODgwNDc7aHR0cCUzQSUyRiUyRmlkZ...
Hi! I work for an ISP/WISP that 95% of radio connections are Mikrotik (mostly sxt lite5 for client side), the others are ubiquity bridges and Cisco core "brains". We are in Poznań, Poland and our customer base is only companies, not private individuals. We have about 150 devices on the net...
My company's network guru (we're an ISP) made a work around for the same reason. Someone in our marketing department sold this type of connection to a client that needs static public IPs for their servers. He used another device on out network to host an EoIP tunnel in order to connect to the SXT LT...
Hello, I'm having a small problem with getting some SMS, and it's only recently. Sometime plink will send a "not working" notification and later when the device returns, we don't receive a "working" sms. I've sent test SMSs and they've all worked with no problem. So far this issu...
Well, after 4 days and not changing any computer configurations..the router started to appear and I can connect. It must be something with this bad work laptop.
There have been man changes in RouterOS and Winbox lately. If you would check changelog of RouterOS, then you would see that Winbox also depends on RouterOS version. If you would have latest version of RouterOS, Winbox 3.0 and Windows 10, then you would see this router on neighbours list. I can ass...
Hi, I wanted to upgrade the RouterOS from 5.26 to 6.32 on an old clients RB through a direct connection on Ethernet. I set a static ip of 192.168.10.1 on my IPv4 settings and couldn't find the RB on Winbox. I then took it home to my personal laptop running Win7 with the same static IP and it worked ...
