Re: APT malware targetting MikroTik routers

https://threatpost.com/cyber-espionage-campaign-slingshot-targets-victims-via-routers/130348/ Any clue which ROS versions are vulnerable? Also Ars Technica reported this https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2018/03/potent-malware-that-hid-for-six-years-spread-through-routers Saturday nigh...

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

One of the reasons v7 takes so long, is that routing programs are being completely re-made from scratch. There is nothing yet to backport. Coding is hard. Project management is hard. But this is your job. Excusatio non petita, accusatio manifesta Second time, please, stop making fun of us. Maybe it...

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

Your ticket. Question from you: "Will it still be end of the year? :)" Support answer: "I cannot tell you when exactly. It's ready when it's ready." You ask again, later: "I didn't ask for an exact date." Support answer again: "There are delays so It is not even k...

It is in the 6.38rc24 changelog.
You can find it in the all_packages zip for the intended platform.

Re: Is it possible to install dnsmasq into routeros

Check if the "resolv.conf" in your client pc is set to your mikrotik router. It does, along with my ISP's name servers (presumably because the router DNS has "allow-remote-requests: yes". $ nslookup router Server: 192.168.1.1 Address: 192.168.1.1#53 Non-authoritative answer: Nam...

Re: Is it possible to install dnsmasq into routeros

Your dns settings should point to your mikrotik. Depending on your OS, try a command like "nslookup" or "dig". [admin@MikroTik] /ip dns> print servers: <<<<<<<<<<<<<< dynamic-servers: 68.105.28.11,68.105.29.11,68.105.28.12 allow-remote-requests: yes max-udp-packet-size: 4096 que...

Re: Is it possible to install dnsmasq into routeros

Hello: 92.242.140.2 belongs to some "Barefruit Ltd". There are threads on this address on the internet. May this be some kind of misconfiguration on your client? Your dns settings should point to your mikrotik. Depending on your OS, try a command like "nslookup" or "dig"...

Re: FW rule to block port 22, but still can ssh in

OK, I was in a hurry and did not read properly you post. Rule 3 should block all traffic incoming from wan, but it is disabled. So it does not block. Rule 8 blocks all tcp traffic on port 22 that comes into from ether1 and goes to ether2-master, and it is enabled. To block all incoming ssh traffic c...

Also, one board has firmware revision 3.19, the other one 3.24.
Maybe if they had the same revision board name would be the same.

A question regarding DHCP-server and NTP option

Hello. First of all, I am new to RouterOS. :D Thanks to everyone who will take time to read my post. I have a question regarding DHCP-server and NTP. Before posting I searched on the forums and on the web, but I found only this similar post: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=101754 u...
