Do not power it with 24V, you'll destroy the thing. Use a DC-DC step-down converter like e.g. the Meanwell DDR-60G-12.

CCR1036-8G-2S+ Revision 3

The Revision 3 of the CCR1036-8G-2S+ has an upgraded PSU. Its internal DC voltage is 12V. The older models are on 24V. I am replacing an older model with this R3 version. All my previous CCR1036 routers are custom modified and are powered by an external 24V (2 x 12V, 12Ah batteries) DC UPS system .....

To everyone talking about DFS.  If your country has no DFS rules, RouterOS will not do anything. Each country has separate DFS config defined.  If you have some special permission to use the radar frequencies, or there is some other reason you need to turn off DFS and not follow the rules, upon you...

Mikrotik, please don't force DFS on those who know what they're doing.  I know the weather radar in my area (near GDN airport) is at 5650 MHz (confirmed by spectral scan - high narrow peak visible), and I never use channels 128 and 132.  DFS disabled, no false positives, no downtime on each wireles...

I am resurrecting this thread, since I am interested in one of these cards (Intel order code: PWLA8492MT)

4 years have passed and v6.33.3 is the latest RouterOS...
So... is there any progress regarding this card?

I could not get the regular wireless package be seen after uploading it to a router. What is the process to get it to be added to the packages? We see less disconnects with nstream with the regular wireless package than the fp or cm2 packages and need it for that reason. *) removed wireless package...

The only common denominator I found in all of this was the fact that those routers that crashed were ones where I had used bridge mode. Somewhere, around 14h CET+1 (2 p.m.) ROS 6.8 appeared on the download site... I managed to grab the torrent... and downloaded it.
Now - 15:20 - it is gone!

with 5.24 and nv2 we have a lockup when data gets to 40mbs tx and 40mbs rx simultaneously must then disable and enable the link ... I was just about to post the same complaint! I updated one of our links (bridge/station-bridge with nv2 on x86 hardware, 2km distance, dual pol) - both ends - to 5.24....

Simply, upgrade both units to 5.22 and use nv2 if you're on 5GHz-N-Only.
802.11n and nstreme, together, are not the best combination...
... and, yes, set tx-power-mode to card-rates, and tx-power to 13dB or 11dB on a short distance, like yours...

you are wrong, Nv2 is very much architecture dependent, there are many technical reasons which cause difficulties. ... Well I really hope this is an April fools joke... Have you tried to increase the HW Retries from the default 4 to, say, 8 or 10...?
This simple change stabilized my links to a 99.9%!

Simply change the Hw. Retries (Advanced tab) from 4 to, say, 8 or 10... on both sides of the link. Disconnections should disappear...!
