Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

moving configuration via backup files is not recommended, please use the new "/export compact file=name" function to reliably move config. I suggest you try that. Backup file is meant to be restored on the same device only. Hi Normis Just to experiment, i reset one of my CCRs and exported...

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

Thanks Normis. I will try that in future, sounds a lot less time intensive and not a feature I have ever heard about before.

Re: CLOUD CORE ROUTER

I received my CCRs the other day to replace our 2 RB1100s which cannot manage sustained data flows above 300Mbps on our 1Gbps inter-site link. I restored the config from my 1100 to the CCR on the first one after upgrading to ROS6rc7 and it all looks good, will switch out in the morning and see how i...

Re: self upgrade mechanism?

Many options available. For example: 1. RouterOS has built in auto-upgrade, where it monitors a certain IP address, and when it sees new packages there, it will take them and upgrade 2. The Dude has built-in mass upgrade feature. Just select a group of routers and click the version you want to put ...

Nokia Phones

Hi All. I had a meeting with a VOIP provider today and when I mentioned we had excellent wireless coverage on our campus with Mikrotik gear he asked if we were using Nokia phones. He claimed that they have lots of problems with MT gear and Nokia gear. I told him it was rubbish but when we got back t...

RESOLVED: Re: Did not upgrade licence within 72 hours

I have successfully reinstalled to V3.30 using NetInstall. My V3 licence was still there and functional. I have now upgraded to 4.2 and upgraded the license as well. All good.

Ok thanks I will try and reinstall with NetInstall then contact support.

Cheers

Did not upgrade licence within 72 hours

Hi All We have a problem where a 4.2 file was uploaded to a 433 board but NOT REBOOTED. A power failure subsequently occurred and the RB upgraded from V3 to V4 but no-one was around to click the license upgrade box. Obviously after 72 hours it has stopped working. Is there ANY way to get into the de...

Re: Dynamically monitor FTP connections and change IP.

Ok! I disabled the connection-type=ftp. Accept related and established connections and it is now working.

Thank you for your assistance.

Re: Dynamically monitor FTP connections and change IP.

How does the traffic get to the FTP server on the local LAN then? Remembering that I am running a separate ftp server, not a server on the MT firewall.

Dynamically monitor FTP connections and change IP.

I want to know if FTP connections can be dynamically monitored and then dynamically replace the IP address specification for packets containing the PASV response. I want to do this because I have an FTP server on my local LAN and none of my users can establish PASSIVE FTP connections. I see in the F...

Hi All I am having trouble with a ftp server I have on a local LAN behind an MT v3.10 firewall. I have added a DST-NAT rule forwarding all traffic to a specific IP to the internal server (I have 5 Live Inet addresses) and have a filter rule allowing the FTP traffic in. The FTP server works 100% from...
