Re: v6.46beta [testing] is released!

Hi,
ipsec connections (in my case ike V2) are not initiated after reboot. This behaviour is independent from the hardware architecture. Need to disable/enable the peer to connect.

Re: VLAN / DHCP basics

Hi, your AP is connect to one of the LAN ports. Therefore you need a VLAN configuration on the bridge ("bridge-local"), not on your WAN interface. Read https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Bridge_VLAN_Table to learn more about VLAN filtering with bridges. My advice is to use VLAN#1 for private and ...

Re: Remote WoL

Hi,
for me the static ARP entry works great.

Your case sounds to me like your server NIC isn't able to wake up the server upon receiving a magic packet after unplug / plug the network cable. Can you still wake up the server from within your LAN in this situation?

Re: Remote WoL

Thanks, I somehow expected, that Mikrotik doesn't support broadcast routing.

From your choice of possible solutions, I favoured the "evil hack" right away 8) . Works great.

Should read more on reddit.com :D .

Remote WoL

Hi, I want to wake a server in my network from the internet via WoL. With bintec routers this works by sending the magic packet to the external IP of the router and do a port forwarding to the directed broadcast address of the internal target network, like: //ip address add address=192.168.1.1/24 in...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

Hi,
I did the upgrade to rc24 on both the ccr1009 and the rb1100ahx4 from rc20. Both were bricked then.

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

Hi, rc24 didn't only kill one crs1009, it does the same with an rb1100ah4, both out-of-the-box with default configuration. Netinstall brought them back to life.

Re: [HELP] [REPEATER - RB951ui-2hnd] only Laptop can get DHCP, smartphone not

Hi, I'm facing pretty much the same problem: I use a mAP 2n as a repeater and no smart phone or tablet gets a DHCP adress from the DHCP server, allthough the Laptops do. The WLAN connections of the mobile devices to the mAP 2n work, the log in the mAP 2n shows the successful WLAN connection of the m...
