Re: Issue with HiSense aircon

Resolved this in the meantime. DNS is the problem, but the DNS packet itself. Packet sniffing revealed that response packet is somehow changed when going over new ISP, I'll attach a picture. It is the same response packet, both originate from 8.8.8.8 one on the left is new ISP, one on the right is m...

Re: Issue with HiSense aircon

So, changing ISP, and the same issue occurs. ISP on which everything is working is just handing out a public IP on my ether 1, and that connects the internet. ISP2 has a PPPoE connection on vlan 998 created on ether1. Only, I have 3 aircons, Fujitsu general. As I found online, Hisense and Fujitsu ha...

Again, it seems to not be working as it should.
I see remote cpu load at 100%.
And once again, big thanks for providing this service.

Re: v7.8 [stable] is released!

Still miss
 /interface/wifiwave2/info contry-info "Country"
since 7.7 :(
Thanks, I thought I was going nuts.
Some of us actually use Mikrotik for wireless.
Why is this missing? It is still present in old wifi package.

Re: Hap AC 5500 channel problem

Yes, well, I've been through all of that. Logs nothing. DFS is not the cause. I know how long it can take, and I newer saw radar detected in logs. It simply did not work. Before I could not see the 5GHz wifi network on channel 5500 if anything else was set except 20MHz width. After loading default s...

Re: Hap AC 5500 channel problem

Well, this is resovled, sort of. I finnaly reset the interface wlan2, and now it is working as expected. I can set channel 5500 on 80MHz width, devices see the network an are connecting normally. Here is the config, so if anybody has the time to study the difference from the first post that could ca...

Re: Hap AC 5500 channel problem

be sure your client devices support that frequency, many client devices dont support it How is that possible? Those are three family routers, three HAP-s, in three separate apartments, all of them for same devices. So my phone connects just fine to 5500 hap ac2 and hap ac3, but is not compatible fo...

Re: Hap AC 5500 channel problem

Check country settings and on terminal do /interface wireless info country-info It will display what is allowed for your specific country settings. Not sure anymore in what version if was done but there is a lot more strict setting now as far as wireless is involved for the country you have used. I...

Hap AC 5500 channel problem

I have a problem with an old HAP AC. If I set anything other than 5500/20MHz, 5GHz wifi is not visible to any of the devices. I know about 1min dfs delay. I tried combos: 80MHz XXXX, and every Ceee, eCee etc... Did the same for 40MHz width. It is only visible at 20MHz. There are no wifi neighbours u...

Re: v7.1.1 is released!

Sure... Increase your window size, it should be under what is shown for System. Else check that you did not make a skin definition for webfig, that now also affects winbox. Thanks. Still cannot for the life of me make clients connect to 5GHz anything else than 5180. And yes, I am aware of dfs waiti...

Re: v6.47 [stable] is released!

Antenna gain should not be changed, especially for devices with built-in antennas. What were you trying to achieve anyway? If your signal is too weak, fix position or alignment. Playing with antenna gain is not the right way and can be illegal. I am fully aware of antenna gain setting that can be i...

Re: v6.47 [stable] is released!

bpwl, krafg - The antenna gain setting is not available there anymore for the routers that have a built-in antenna. Poorly decided and implemented. You have discriminated routers that have to weak antenna to begin with, case in point HAP AC2 vs HAP AC3 or Audience. So if your signal with HAP ac2 is ...
