Re: Is there an new exploit going around?

Thank you so much for posting this. Yes, same thing here. Have had 300 customers down all day. Found the NAT entry and all is good now. I also need to know if this is a new exploit. What firmware are (were) they on ? Also are you on standard Winbox ports etc. I've heard another user with this who w...

Re: Urgent security advisory

Nothing is safe! Whether you're Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik, Microsoft or Apple - Humans are writing code and we all get it wrong. I've read the topic through and I do think Mikrotik could do more (later) but I think some posters have taken a base config of a Mikrotik device, put it in production (poss...

Re: CAPsMAN Access List Private Passphrase

Just a "me too" post. Didn't realise this post existed, it explains it very well. I logged a new request a few weeks back here for the same thing : https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=123551&p=609276#p609276 No feedback from Mikrotik on whether this is technically possib...

Re: Feature Request : Wireless Private Passphrase as a Match in Access-List [SOLVED]

HI Normis,

Is this technically possible with the OS, is it even worth me submitting as a feature request ?

Thanks Normis,

I know, I'd like to submit it as a feature request.

Feature Request : Wireless Private Passphrase as a Match in Access-List [SOLVED]

Ultimately what we're trying to achieve is identifying users on a wireless SSID by the passphrase they use and then place them on their own VLAN. This is almost possible but not quite : Currently the private passphrase in access-list for CAPsMAN is only used to check that the passphrase is correct o...

Re: Feature Request: RADIUS 'test'

+1 for this. I don't have a Windows box to perform a RadTest on site and some of my customers only have PPPoE routers that retry once every 5 minutes, that's a lot of time to have to wait for myself and them for me to figure out what's going on, with full logging or not! Thanks Mikrotik for a great ...

Re: Feature request: MLPPP server

+1, big deal for us. @Zorro - Bonding is ok to a degree and if you can get 2 or 3 lines with equal latency then you'll end up with a bond performance somewhere near what you're expecting. The problem comes when one of those lines differs by even a couple of ms and then you get out of order TCP packe...

Referencing a file stored on a flash disk

Hi, I'm trying to reset my HAP AC Lite and then run a configuration script. This works on my 1100AH, 2011 etc. and I place the config file in the root. On the HAP AC Lite I have to put it in the flash directory so it survives the reboot. If I reset the device via Winbox then everything works and I g...

Re: OSPF Network with Source Routed Gateways

Also, are there other options for this ? OSPF with VLANs / VRFs

Or is MPLS easier than I think it's going to be ?

Thanks

Re: OSPF Network with Source Routed Gateways

Thanks ZeroByte, I've not implemented an MPLS network before so I was hoping OSPF might have been the answer. But OK, I have done a fair bit of reading already about how I'd go about MPLS. Can I set those gateways etc. all through User-Man (or RADIUS) so that the core network is all the same, all ed...

OSPF Network with Source Routed Gateways

Hi, We have an OSPF network which works for us with a single exit point by distributing the default route. What we want to do is have multiple exit points on the network and route different endpoints accordingly. These endpoints are PPPoE clients and we're using Mikrotiks for everything at the momen...
