Request: Hostname for bandwidth test & setable default value

Hello, I'd like to make a request that bandwidth test support hostnames not just IP addresses. In addition a default valuable settable via config so customers can more easily run speed tests if we open webgui to them in a limited mode. Having to type in an IP vs a hostname and having to remember wha...

Re: Unable to update firmware CSS 326-24G-2S+RM

Anyone found a solution to this? I've also had same issue. Even if I manually install and download the latest posted 2.9 build or a 2.8 build clicking "download and upgrade" reverts the switch back to 2.7p

Re: Running IPv6 on Mikrotik? You're out of business in 12 days time

I'd like to add my voice to the Mikrotik community stating this must be addressed before public release.

Anyone have a good juniper to mikrotik VPN config they can share?

Before I start digging through old forum posts and random half articles I figured I'd ask if anyone has a good working juniper to mikrotik vpn config they could share? Maybe on the juniper side a show configuration | display set and on mikrotik side /export hide-sensative If not, I'll accept advice ...

Re: Auto Upgrade package source, no cli password option

Sorry, my point was scripted and non-interactive ssh Pretty odd I can't pass a password as i can for most other user functions. Breaks simple automation.

Auto Upgrade package source, no cli password option

It appears there is no easy way to configure auto upgrade package source via cli as I can specify a username but not a password.

Is this a know issue/being worked on?

Re: BTest Server / Bandwidth Test, consistently 1 mbit send direction

Actually discovered this before reading your post Paternot but thanks, that's exactly it!

Did 60 day free trial license, 1 GB now.

Going to buy a 10G license.

BTest Server / Bandwidth Test, consistently 1 mbit send direction

So I'm at a bit of a loss here. Setup a CHR instance on our xen stack and getting pretty consistently 1 mbit when "send" is selected as the direction (which appears to be when the selected server "sends" information to the tik I'm running the test on. The receive test comes in at 600+ mbits. If I re...

Add value to the end of an array?

So, I'm having an interesting time trying to find how to add a value to the end of an array. I'd like to use an array to ethernet errors detected in a for loop but I'm not finding a way to add to an array easily? I've got the logic down for finding the count of interfaces, polling the interfaces for...

Central Firmware/Software Management with Mikrotik? Any way to host local firmware/software repo?

Hello, Is there a way to do central firmware management / local firmware/software repo? Since Mikrotik has a reputation of making some odd changes from revision to revision we would like to be able to do central firmware/software management. Is this possible? Been googling around and couldn't find a...

Re: DHCP Rebinding Issue - stuck in rebinding until lease times out

Does anyone know from Mikrotik why after dhcp request during an active lease, if no answer, if it's configurable to drop the lease and initiate a new discover? Seems most desktop/routers do this periodically but the tik sends 4 renew on the port bounce then nothing until lease expires (just sticks i...

Re: Any Chance of a test mode before applying the configuration

I think the major difference here (like juniper commit confirmed) is the timeout. So for example if your changing management IP's you are going to lose connection by virtue of changing management IPs
hence you can't use safe mode?

DHCP Rebinding Issue - stuck in rebinding until lease times out

Hello, I'm experiencing an interesting issue. If an interface flaps on the WAN, the dhcp-client issues 2x DHCP Requests unicast to the existing gateway then 2x to broadcast (255.255.255.255) but if if the DHCP server on the network doens't send back a NAK then it sits there stuck in rebinding state ...

Bridge Vlan Help Request

Hello, Having some odd issues with bridge VLAN not working, thinking I'm either missing something basic. Come from a Juniper switch environment so I've got the basic understanding so I'm confident I'm breaking something. The issues I'm seeing are: 1) A device plugged into ether2/ether3/ether4 does n...

Re: Dual Wan Config Help

Thanks a lot for the help, I've got the dual DHCP working with correct VLAN tagging but I'm not getting any data coming out the voice-wan. Oddly I can use the web interface on the voice IP of 172.16.65.252 but it doesn't answer pings. The data IP does answer pings 172.16.64.248 and works for web tra...
