your MT Box is well configured as a proxy server. but MT doesn't support the cache for files like exe,zip bla bla bla.

setting the pppoe server on Mikrotik Router OS is the most easiest setup you will ever know... let's say we have two interfaces { real and fake or internal and external } we start mikrotik... set the External IP and route { ISP provides you the subnet and G/W } add DNS .. I think these are well know...

hey Borage ur idea is correct

and if you know the ports of gnutela ... you can block it manually but try not to specify the interfaces ....

just add protcool: tcp dst-port: xxxx action drop in the forwward chain

let all your http and ftp requests go through transparent proxy

and nat all the other requests throught the digital link ..
