One of the problem ports is my switch uplink port... We've uplinked the device using a QSFP+ (40G) port, this port has never given any issue. We can confirm that the issue seems to be related to either high utilization or the sum of data (packets / bytes, not sure) transferred. We've not done any f...
Just took the time to test it on a hAP ac² with the same software, since this device is quite similar in architecture. But it also works on a hAP ac² so it's not something architecture (ARM) related. USB port working on hAP ac² https://i.ibb.co/4f5ZY79/gps-hap-ac2.png As far as I can analyse the pro...
Still experiencing this issues.. logged the issue 'SUP-23910', no response yet.
Received a response, we were asked to return the affected switches to Mikrotik for investigation....
First switch is currently with DHL on its way to Mikrotik (via the distributor in Czech Republic).
Hi guys, Trying to get a USB GPS / Glonass device working on a Mikrotik hAP ac³, the device is installed in a mobile home / RV and the idea is to create a script that periodically reads out the coordinates and when 'significant' movement is detected pushes the new coordinates to a server using the L...
After days of continuous operation of a CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ with v6.48beta12, we just experienced the same problem on another port-group (17-24). Rebooting the switch 'solves' the problem, wondering if the root-cause of the problem is already found? This problem basiscly makes this switch unusable for...
24 hours without the problem. Have to admit that we changed two things: - Updated software and firmware to 6.48beta12 - Moved devices to higher ports, leaving only 1 device connected to the 'affected' ports Will move the devices back from the higher port numbers to the initial ones (in the 1-8 range...
Experiencing the same problem on two CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+ devices, tried multiple routeros / firmware versions (6.46.4, 6.46.5, 6.46.6, 6.47 and 6.47.1), now trying 6.48beta12.. disabling -> enabling (individual) ports does not seem to resolve the issue, rebooting the whole device does resolve the issu...
Experimented with 6.47 (upgraded from 6.46.6) on a Mikrotik CCR1072, after the upgrade the 6-to-4 tunnels stopped working. TX on both sides but no RX... The "Tx/Rx Drops" counter increases (but is lower than the "Tx/Rx Packet" value, although the is no traffic coming trough). The...
Hi we power hundreds of hAP AC's with PoE using ZTEcom PoE 802.11at midspan's (rack mountable 24 port injectors).
I'm not sure if this device is actually PoE compliant (active) or passive, this might be the problem...
Also done some testing with UBNT PoE injectors.
@macgaiver, interesting finding / comment (regarding STP relation)!
I do have RSTP enabled on a bridge interface but this is not / does not contain the PPPoE interface.
Hi nescafe2002, I did these topic updates because of the fact that PPPoE became broken (in 6.38), fixed (in 6.39rc), broken (in a newer 6.39rc) and fixed again (in another 6.39rc). So I thought it might help to have the next 'stable' release not having this issue.. I by the way just did a downgrade ...
Upgraded to 6.39rc17, and (as expected based on the changelog) it still works fine :) What's new in 6.39rc17 (2017-Jan-23 16:30): *) capsman - added save-channel option to speed up frequency selection on CAPsMAN restart; *) capsman - added support for static virtual interfaces on CAP; *) dude - (cha...
Today I did the upgrade to 6.39rc7 but again PPPoE client seems broken?
Another thing I noticed is that a PPTP session just runs fine, so its not PPP in general but more like PPPoE specific?
After a downgrade to 6.37.3 it works fine (instant).
Hi guys, Just updated the CCR at my house (one of our testing sites :D) but since this upgrade the PPPoE connection (one of the two uplinks to internet) is broken. The logs show (every 20 sec): pppoe1: initializing... pppoe1: connecting... pppoe1: terminating... - failed to authenticate our selves t...
Dear all, The answer is (now) clear (enough), the device won't support MPLS Label Switching, and this is what I was looking for... So this new CRS will not be the solution for us, can we expect a new Cloud Core Router device with more than 8 SFP+ ports (or a CRS with label switching support via ASIC...
Dear Mikrotik, We became very enthousiast when reading the Newsletter #74, since it included the announcement of the CRS317-1G-16S+RM. We currently use multiple CCR1072's in the core of our network to 'aggregate' all the sites using 10Gbit links, all sites (buildings) are connected using CCR1016-12S...
I was wondering if we could expect a Mikrotik (Cloud Router) Switch with 'many' SFP ports, the type number above is (as far a I know :-P) non-existing but should have: - 24 SFP ports - 2 SFP+ ports Also wondering if a switch with multiple (for example 8 like to CCR1072 or even more) SFP+ ports is on...
