Re: cAPac and wAPac bricked?

Solved! I did two things. First i forgot that i had 'trend micro' security turned on. It was likely blocking communication. and If that wasn't it, your recommendation about plugging it into a switch was the second thing i changed. regardless. It works! thanks for being patient with me!

Hey folks, I've read a lot of posts on how to limit streaming and very few on how to improve it. I have enough bandwidth to support 1-2 streams for my clients, however they are buffering like crazy. I have 100Mbit circuit, average load at night is 50Mbit. i have folks on 10Mbit down plans that cant ...

How to stop yellow network cloud from appearing

this yellow network cloud to me is useless but it keeps auto-adding itself.  It is super annoying..

any way to permanently disable the 'auto-discovery' of it, while keeping auto-discovery on?

Re: Poor 5Ghz performance between NM5 and SXT 5AC

Frankly, I'm kinda surprised no one has replied :( I guess my take away is that everything is decent, or it's so screwed up that no one wants to touch it! hah update however.... I forced all clients and my AP's to N-Only, 20/40Ce Seems to have improved things a lot; however, i'm sure there's somethi...

Poor 5Ghz performance between NM5 and SXT 5AC

So, not sure what I've done but the performance between my customers and one of my towers is hosed. I've been tweaking my 2.4GHz settings and i think i've made a mistake with configuration. simple setup... rb2011-----NM5<------>SXT 5AC If i plug directly into the rb2011, i can get the full pipe up/d...

Netmetal 5 Antenna - physical and software config verification?

Hey, I recently tried to turn up my 2.4GHz configuration on my NetMetal 5's and i think i'm degrading my 5GHz users. First, I would like to verify that I've hooked up my dual frequency antenna's correctly (IT Elite 2.4/5 antenna). On-board 5GHz - Chain 0 connected to the horizontal 5GHz port on ante...

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not finding any documents that aren't ancient and are applicable. Tried dropping all the package f...

Dude on a PC Running RouterOS - License Level needed?

First, my apologies to all of you who know where to find this info in the forum. I've done multiple searches with no success. I have installed RouterOS 6.34 on a dell workstation strictly to run the Dude . It wants a license before 24hours runs out. I get it, nothing is free. What level license do i...

Re: OSPF and PPPoE Access Points

Is it possible to make the core router the only PPPoE server on a 10.x OSPF network, but hand the clients a public ip a couple hops away at a remote tower? Or does the server need to be the router on the other side of the bridged AP/CPE like he suggested in his original post? not trying to muddy the...

Re: Wisp Setup Help

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm in the same boat. Been reading a lot of posts, but no conclusive, consolidated solutions, just pieces here and there. Also, I'm trying to offer public IP's to my clients at the remote sites. Thanks. I should add that I'm using an RB2011 with NetMetal5 AP's at m...
