Hotspot user restriction

Hello, I have a situation where I have multiple vlans each running its own hotspot. I want to create users that are restricted to each hotspot and vlan so that user1 can only connect through hotspot1 on vlan1 and user2 can only connect throught hotspot 2 on vlan2. Am I forced to create one radius se...

Simple queue pcq and limit-at

Hello, I am setting up pcq in simple queues and in the mikrotik manual, it states that if pcq-rate =0 then the total bandwidth that is split among substreams is max-limit. Does this mean that the total bandwidth is always fixed at max-limit when using pcq or does the simple queue still first allocat...

Hotspot with multiple VLANS

Hello, I have just received a ccr1009 and began configuring a hotspot for a hotel. Each room has its own AP and I would also like them to have their own ssid and tagged vlans to make sure that room 17 can't use the AP of room 18. Is there some way I can do this with just one hotspot serving all thos...

Re: Vlans in switch chip for CCR

Thank you. I was under the impression there was a switch chip from reading older posts.

Vlans in switch chip for CCR

Hi
I just received my new CCR1009 and was surprised to see there is no switch chip menu on the interface. I wanted to do vlans in the switch chip as I was doing on a simple Rb750 but it doesn't seem possible... Am I obliged to unslave the switch ports and bridge then in the cpu? Thanks.

Re: Double WAN question

The 2 computers are on different subnets as they are on different vlans (192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24) but I have default routes pointing these adress spaces to their vlans in each router. So if I remote from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.1.1, should it be using DNS at all? Also it seems it doesn't co...

Double WAN question

I have a question about a double WAN setup. I hope this will be intelligible. I have router1 plugged into ISP1 on its eth1 and router2 plugged into ISP2 over its eth1. Between these 2 routers, I have configured a trunk in the switch chip for all vlans to be able to communicate over these routers. ro...

Re: Help on router

Thank you for your suggestion, I see that the CCR1009 seems to route much more quickly than the RB1100AHx2. However I wonder in my case, since my ISP speed will be capped at 1G, is the extra speed necessary? Also, the RB1100AHx2 has 2G of Ram instead of 1G for CCR1009, does that mean the RB can hand...

Help on router

Greetings, I am upgrading WIfi for a 20 room hotel and 320 seats restaurant. I will have 1 AP per room for the hotel where I want customers to have high bandwidth and a few on the restaurant with lower bandwidth. I plan on upgrading the ISP to 940 Mb/s download and 50Mb/s upload (The highest coax of...

Re: New Packet flow diagram

Trying to implement your double qos suggestions for hotel. I want to proritize traffic in queue tree and limit per user with dynamic simple queues. I can generate the simple queues in dhcp lease but what happens if a customer sets his own static ip? How can I generate his queue so that he does not b...
