Re: CHR 7.0 beta4 vrrp kernel panic

This is neither a v6 bug, nor a security vulnerability, though.

Re: CHR 7.0 beta4 vrrp kernel panic

Why? This isn't really a support issue; it's a v7 beta bug, which is precisely the purpose of this forum section.

Re: SNMP Bandwidth Monitoring Issues.

Has no-one seen this before then? I've seen this on multiple devices, so would be surprised if this is the case.

Thanks.

SNMP Bandwidth Monitoring Issues.

Hi. I've noticed a few times in the past that SNMP monitoring within RouterOS can be flaky. If you look at the below image, you can see that downstream values are intermittently returned as 0. For some reason the upstream values are unaffected. This also only seems to affect some interfaces, with no...

Re: MSS Clamping 6.39

Did you hear back on this? Had a customer router the other day, using change-mss on PPPoE that I had to roll back to 6.38 as the clamping wasn't working.

Even if we assume the new 'internal algorithm' for this doesn't work, surely a manual change-mss mangle rule should still force the matter?

Re: How is the Actual MTU field in a GRE tunnel calculated?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a followup question. I have a router, which uses a GRE tunnel over a PPPoE dialler. The PPPoE MTU is set to 1492 and, with a GRE overhead of 24 bytes, I would expect the GRE tunnel's actual MTU to set itself to 1468. What I don't understand is that the Ac...

VRRP co-existence with CARP, error messages

Hey All. I have a couple of CCR1072s running VRRP, routing to a pair of pfSense firewalls running CARP on the same subnet. When running these together, I constantly see a warning on the VRRP interface saying "received packet from X.X.X.X bad version (2 != 3)". If I switch the VRRP version to v2 I in...
