Re: Severe port flapping on CRS328-24P-4S+ and CRS317-1G-16S+

RouterOS 6.46 released. In the changelog:

*) crs3xx - improved switch-chip resource allocation on CRS317-1G-16S+, CRS309-1G-8S+, CRS312-4C+8XG, CRS326-24S+2Q+ devices;

Would this solve the port flapping issue? Has anybody tested it?

Re: Severe port flapping on CRS328-24P-4S+ and CRS317-1G-16S+

Follow-up:

Up till now all are running without flapping, except for one, once at 3am. Will continue to monitor this.

Since after changing to SwOS, the flapping mostly stopped, very good indication that this is a software bug. Should be able to fix.

Just provision your AP differently, each to use your specified channel(s).

Re: Request: Change the Mikrotik ASCII Console Splash Screen Logo

Frankly, Rather a custom MOTD (configurable) as it is pretty much on any router and/or linux box The entire console is completely BLOATED with unnecessary ANSI, splash screens, and heaven forbid what else. Dump it all, and give me a CONSOLE please. This, would be ideal. However /system note print w...

Re: Request: Change the Mikrotik ASCII Console Splash Screen Logo

If this updated logo jumped on me for the first time on live RB, my thoughts would be "oh **it, something broke!" ;) On second look, yes, the logo is there, but I still don't think it would win any beauty contest. Yeah, wouldn't call it much of a beauty, either. Kinda think that anything would've l...

Re: Request: Change the Mikrotik ASCII Console Splash Screen Logo

We can do it with the old fashioned ASCII codes which make a nice table... Double lined even. Codes 179 - 218....
That would look nice aesthetically, but might barf on some non-standard consoles.
