Re: Possible YouTube video ideas

Personally, I'd honestly like just a simple rundown of all the functions in RouterOS and maybe a real life example of each. But I know I'm noobie and there are people who'd prefer more advanced stuff. Just my humble opinion. Also thanks so much for considering this, no matter what you do I will appr...

When given a spoon
you should not cling to your fork.
The soup will get cold.

People trying to access my router

Hi all. Was looking through my logs and noticed a bunch of failed login attempts from random IPs. Was just wondering if this was normal. If not, what should I do? I've disabled the telnet, ftp, and ssh ports in IP > Services already. Anything else I should be aware of?

Possible Bug?

Issue: Interface in addresses keeps changing Description:  Pretty sure I found a bug, though I don't know if it's just my unit or what. On my CRS125 I have my uplink on ether 1, ether 2 empty, and then rest plugged in. I have different subnets on ether 3, 4, 5. For some reason, if I make a change (...

Re: Mikrotik on comcast cable modem issues

Call comcast and ask them to put the modem in "virtual bridge" mode (i dont think you can do it yourself) I don't think they can do that with Comcast business - the last time I interacted with them was to get a public IP for our ASA at a site, and they had to just put a /29 on their ethernet interf...

Re: help with a little project

Give some print from your configuration. And what are you pinging internal address' external submarines :) Hi there! After doing some looking around it looks like what I'm looking for is better suited to using VLANs rather than different subnets. So I think what I will end up doing is closing this ...

Re: SOLVED! Subnets different ports cannot connect/ping

I'm having a similar problem with this. I can ping things...sometimes. It'll go through 5 times then request timeout the next 5. I can get on the internet but it's obviously pretty slow. Any ideas? I dont think we have similar issue, I could not ping another subnet at anytime. But I guess you shoul...

help with a little project

helloooooooo everyone! So I have a few static IPs from Comcast. Right now I have Comcast modem/router (with the router disabled) --> CRS125 Mikrotik router (That white 24 port switch one). I have 3 networks running from the mikrotik, but the 2 that I set up regularly have request timeouts when pingi...

Beginner Basics

Hello all. I am a 21 year old person with no experience with networking or anything like that. I'd like to learn more about Mikrotiks (and networking) in general so I was just browsing other people's threads to see what kind of questions they had and I have no idea what they're talking about half th...
