Re: v6.44.6 [long-term] is released!

Anyone else using RB 3011 on 6.44.6 that shows the wrong link up time? Viewing the router through winbox ver 3.18 - 3.20 on Windows 7 and windows 10 computers. Viewing Last link up times on the Ethernet interfaces and even the PPPoE client interface shows link up times of the future. Right now its s...

Re: v6.44.5 [long-term] is released!

I've read it. I see what I use shouldn't be affected. But its quite a jump, considering the changes to switch and bridge. Just wondering if anyone else made such a jump. In the past I've gone from 4.x to 6.x and that wasn't an issue. But so much has changed. I don't need any new features, but I can'...

Re: v6.44.5 [long-term] is released!

Hello ! I left a bunch of RB's on 6.40.9 but the latest CVE's no longer make that suitable for internet traffic. Is there any concerns making the jump to 6.44.5 ? Other then changes to bridge and password storage method. My hope is to just press the Download&Install button remotely so I don't have t...

Re: v6.40.9 [bugfix] is released!

Just noticed on this version that RB3011 display screen no longer scrolls during bandwidth monitor. Has anyone else had touch screen issue where its locked up on 6.40.9 ? It was working in earlier versions of 6.40.x

Re: Urgent security advisory

Normis, Is it also true to say that using net install with any version will also remove the bad files? Obviously reinfection is possible below 6.38.5, but files that were mentioned from the console output with special npk package, would those be removed using net install specifically ? How to detect...

Re: v6.40.5 [current]

After testing with RB750 and RB3011, the upgrades are ok, but going from 6.39 to 6.40.5 reveals a problem on MLPPP. I'm using 2 DSL modems. If one of the modems loses its physical layer, such as loss of power or loss of ADSL sync, the MLPPPoE bundle gets confused and does not bring the link down to ...

Re: RB3011UiAS-RM + RB2011UiAS-in suggestions?

That's a pretty smart idea. I actually started with an RB2011, and then maxed out the CPU with my needs and got a RB3011RM, great router! Everyone's needs are different, however depending on your setup, you could put the WAN connection on 2011 and connect just the servers to run off it ( Git server,...

Re: Discussion about bugfix, current and rc versions

I agree with everyone's comments here. But possibly there may be one small labeling change that could stop some confusion. The current version inside the router is currently labelled as " Stable ", I think that's great, just like FreeBSD style. But we all know its not a release that works with stabi...

This completely broke in 6.39 but fixed completely in 6.39.2:

*) ppp - fixed "change-mss" functionality (introduced in 6.39);

Re: Which types of ports would you like to see for a high speed router

New inexpensive member to the CCR family of routers:

- five 1Gb ports
- five 10Gb ports
- four SFP+ ports
- two USB 3.0 ports

No port sharing / TILE-Gx based CPU

Re: v6.37.4 [bugfix] is released!

Is there any plans to patch the bugfix channel ( 6.37.x ) against Vault 7's "ChimayRed" exploit ? Some of my networks are not able to make the jump to current release channel.

MikroTik Router + Netgear wireless AP = no Android browsing

Hey everyone, I'm hoping that someone has ran into this before. I've tried for a very long time to come up with a fix for this, but only ended up doing a work around. The setup is like this. RB750 or RB2011 as the PPPoE device for DSL. Modems are in port 3 and port 4 ( MLPPP ) Then the mikrotik subn...

FreeBSD vs MikroTik - 2 line MLPPP DSL PPPoE drops packets with MikroTik

Hello, I'm currently trying to migrate away from using FreeBSD as my MLPPP client for the internet connection. The problem I'm finding is that not all the websites are available with MikroTik in place. This is not an MTU problem. MTU, MRU and MRRU values have all been adjusted according to various a...
