Re: RB3011 with VLANs on switch troubles

OK, i removed all bridges (except bridge-ports) on RB3011 and set IP addresses and DHCP servers on VLAN interfaces and now it works as expected.

Re: RB3011 with VLANs on switch troubles

When configuring VLANs on switch chip (i.e. in /interface ethernet switch vlan and /interface ethernet switch port ) you don't mention any of VLAN config in bridge configuration (i.e. in /interface bridge port and /interface bridge vlan ). So you should remove pvid setting in add bridge=bridge-port...

Re: RB3011 with VLANs on switch troubles

The problem is that is not the way to manage bridges and vlans. Create one bridge only and put all your vlans on that. Use the examples here https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=143620 I understand that best practice is to use vlan-filtering, but I need to use VLANs at wire speed. The on...

RB3011 with VLANs on switch troubles

Hey there, I'm not sure why I have problems with switch-based VLAN settings on RB3011 (RouterOS v6.42.12). The same config works as expected on RB2011. My initial goal was to get rid of default VLAN as my main network. So I want to use VLAN 77 for my main network, VLAN 300 for guests and VLAN 50 for...

Re: IP CLOUD is down

Not entirely sure. Within today it should return. But I urge the v6.42 and older users to upgrade to v6.43. It's very stable right now. The new v2 cloud is hosted in our new Tier 2 data centers. The old one ... not so much. Do you have any plans for stable cloud on long-term (6.42.10)? You urge us ...

Any alternatives for IP Cloud (DDNS)?

As a RouterOS long-term version user I have problems with DNS timeouts and now complete DDNS service shutdown. It is time to look for alternatives, so we can use long-term version with dynamic IP addresses.

Please post here any *working* solution that you use as an alternative to builtin IP Cloud.

Re: IP Cloud question

Maybe the problem is with the long-term version only?
As @normis hinted: problem is there for devices with ROS <= 6.42 ... devices with ROS >= 6.43 are OK.
OK, but all my routers are using RouterOS 6.42.10 (long-term) and I want to keep it that way. I need stable IP cloud service too.

Re: Problem Cloud Mikrotik

Normis, is the long-term version depended on the old IP cloud server? And if this is the case how can we fix it if we want to stick with the long-term?

Re: IP Cloud question

Same problem for all my routers on dynamic IP addresses (all using RouterOS 6.42.10). My monitoring system are showing them down, DNS names cannot be resolved. Since one week Cloud was very unresponsive (with many timeouts), today it just completely stop. Here is the NSLOOKUP results: > server 8.8.8...

Re: v6.42.9 [long-term] is released!

I like this long-term version and it works fine for me. I have a small problem with my auto-update script, that updates all my devices (only to bugfix channel). Until now it works just fine with RouterOS and Routerboard firmware updates, but now this code asks for [y/n]... /system routerboard :if (...

v6.41.2, VLANs, switch and HW offload

Hello, Upgrading to v6.41.2 and removing master port, so I want to hear about the best practices about hardware offloaded VLAN ports via switch menu (between ports on same VLAN ID). My goal (using Routerboard like 951G-2HnD): 1. ether1 is connected to ISP (using NAT). 2. ether2 to ether5 are used fo...

CSS326-24G-2S+ MAC-based VLAN?

I have CSS326-24G-2S+ - is there a way to do MAC-based VLAN? For example put a simple (not smart VLAN) device and based on its MAC switch to put the device on given VLAN as access port?

Re: v6.38.5 [current]

Switch rstp off. Or upgrade all routers to the same Ros version.
Thank you for this, but as I say RSTP is off on all devices and I upgrade all devices to the lastest version.

Re: v6.38.5 [current]

I have no problem with most of my devices, but have port flapping with one specific configuration. In this configuration I use 3 devices - two 951Ui-2nD and one 750 r2. The 750 r2 is powered by PoE from one of the 951Ui-2nD. The 750 r2 uses 3 ports as master/slave, one port for ISP, two to the two 9...
