Re: v6.42.6 [current]

I have a CAPs setup with three RB951G-2HnD units (one being the CAPsMAN). I updated from Router OS 6.42.5 to 6.42.6 (both RouterOS and RouterBOARD firmware). I'm getting random wireless devices now doing this: reassociating connected reassociating connected ..... (see screenshot) Anyone else having ...

Re: hap ac^2 - Group Key Exchange timeout / No Reconnect possible

I have three devices set up with CAPsMAN (one of course is the "manager"). The devices are 951G-2HnD devices. I was having similar issues, but I recently updated my RouterOS and RouterBOARD firmware on the devices to 6.42.5, and I'm not receiving any more messages like "disconnected, group key timeo...

Re: CAPsMAN and group-key-update

I've also observed this with a CAPsMAN security config – with the group key update set to one hour, it seems to occur every 40s or so (watching in Wireshark). If I unset the value to restore the default, it happens every five minutes. @osmoticzest - is there a specific protocol that needs to be ena...

Re: v6.42.1 [current]

Does this indicate that my OVPN has been compromised??? I've disabled my ovpn in the meantime. nope just service scanners Thank you very much for the response. So I'm seeing a port scanner attempt? I guess I'm worried about the "established" part. Do you believe the connections are rejected ultimat...

Re: v6.42.1 [current]

I have OpenVPN (ovpn) set up on my MikroTik home router (RB951G-2HnD), and I just updated to 6.42.1. I'm noticing entries in my log: ovpn, info TCP connection established form 125.212.217.215 That's an example of one of the IP addresses. I may not have noticed these prior to updating, but I'm defini...

Re: RB951G-2HND Firewall Default Settings

Thank you pe1chl for your reply. So just some I'm clear: 1)  These default settings block ALL traffic in the network unless I allow the traffic in with a separate firewall rule or an established internal connection is made first.  Is that correct? 2)   What about things like port scanners?  Will the...

RB951G-2HND Firewall Default Settings

Hi, I just purchased a Mikrotik RB951G-2HND (several actually), and I have upgraded to the latest RouterOS (6.35.4). Below is a screenshot of the Firewall Default settings (except for the "drop WAN ping", I did that): http://i67.tinypic.com/2rwl176.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/xeheuq.jpg My question i...
