Re: Winbox losing MAC connection to RB850Gx2

Experienced same problems many times.
  • MTU should be set to 1500 for the network interface.
  • Unused network interfaces should be disabled in OS.

Re: Connection tracking - timeout values

In conclusion,
* if you have lots of clients;
you may want to reduce tcp established timeout
* if you experience disconnects
you may want to increase tcp time_wait timeout to 2m
you may want to increase udp_timeout to 2m

no need to touch any other setting.

Re: graphs deleted after reboot on v.5.0 / slow NTP sync

I still get this behaviour on 6.43rc32 after power-outage.

PPPoE client statistics (graphs) got deleted after power-loss

Graphs of other interfaces , CPU , Memory , Disk usage remains.

Re: Script for he.net IPv6 Tunnelbroker

You don't need to update the HE.NET side of the tunnel (on their web site) any more. Only needed to update the local IP on the tunnel interface on your RB, and the tunnel will come up.  HE somehow automatically detects the IP changed and updates their end without intervention. unfortunately this is...

Re: Update to "Hurricane Electric IPv6toIPv4 Endpoint updater"

This script also does the job, without auto-detect local-address feature: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 43#p336881

keepalive feature should be disabled for IPv6 tunnel, it takes the interface down...

Re: Update to "Hurricane Electric IPv6toIPv4 Endpoint updater"

I use the new feature of RouterOS that detects local-address automatically. Here is modified script for auto-detect local-address setup # Update Hurricane Electric IPv6 Tunnel Client IPv4 address :local HEtunnelid "YOUR_tunnelid" :local HEuserid "YOUR_username" :local HEmd5pass "YOUR_accesskey" :loc...
