Re: Setting up VLANs on RB5009 with an ASUS RT-AX88U Pro as access point

The modern way of dealing with VLANs is "Bridge VLAN Filtering". Follow the link posted by @CGGXANNX earlier to get more details. There you'll also find some configuration examples. The idea is that you use just one bridge, add all ether ports to that bridge and then in the Bridge\VLANs de...

Remove the relays in the DHCP server settings for your networks.

Have you read this?
After changing ASUS operation mode to AP set LAN IP to 192.168.88.2 and try pinging your ASUS from the RB5009.

Re: DNS setup with AdGuard and static hosts

In the IP/DHCP Server settings check what DNS addresses you give out to the clients. Most likely DNS field is blank meaning MikroTik will pass its own DNS addresses (that you see in servers and dynamic-servers of IP/DNS) to the clients. And you need to change that in a way the clients receive your r...

Your router may have several IP addresses. IP addresses are assigned to interfaces of the router. The default IP of the LAN interface (your home network) is 192.168.88.1/24. The IP for the WAN interface the router will receive from your Internet service provider.
