Now that MikroTik is making a mesh router, will they have a "backbone" version that also support this mesh model (secondary 5G radio to run the mesh). Let's say add a secondary 5g wireless card to RB4011?

I came over a review at ars this morning reviewing this product: Ubiquiti Ethermagic . It is a Gigabit over Power cable switch solution. What is more interesting is that it also supplies devices connected to the ethernet with power. Would be great if you guys at Mikrotik comes up with a similar prod...

Re: v6.39rc [release candidate] is released

Backup should be restored to same version of ROS as i have been made.
You should try /export your configuration if you want to restore it to the newer version of ROS
Does this apply to upgrading from 6.38 as well? Currently it clears all configuration when upgrading as well

Re: v6.39rc [release candidate] is released

I think I have found an issue with the RC.

Steps to reproduce:
1. On a RouterOS 6.38.x create a backup of the setup.
2. Upgrade to 6.39rcXX-xx
3. Reset the board.
4. Apply backup
5. After reboot RouterBoard has no configuration.

Re: Support for ACME/Let's Encrypt certificate management [SOLVED]

I created a deploy script for acme.sh to deploy to a routeros server

If anyone would like to have a look at it.

Re: station/AP config issues

I have my device configured as a AP Bridge, and a virtual Station pseudobridge. This works as long as the main device have the correct channel/bandwidth as the AP that you are trying to connect to with the Station. The reason why I have the main device as the AP is that if I'm in an area where there...

Script to run AP-Bridge on main wlan interface, station pseudobridge on virtual

Hi all, I have tried to set up a script that periodically scans for networks on the main wlan interface that has been configured as a AP-bridge (to allow a AP to run while it is looking other AP's as a station pseudobridge on the virtual interface). This way I am always able to connect to the board ...
