Re: LoRaWAN support

Just tested and it works so far with a 3rd party card in a USB to mPCIe adapter :) Running on a 962UiGS-5HacT2HnT All seems to be working, the issue I see currently is the US915 channel plan selection only uses sub-band 1. TTN uses sub-band 2 and so far can't see a way to change this in the config....

Re: LoRaWAN support

I have no insight on their release, I just tried out the LoRa card I had in the RouterBoard I had on hand. I agree the RBM33G board would be a great choice for a custom gateway. Use one mPCIe slot for LoraWAN and the other for the backhaul connection. Throw it in an outdoor enclouser then you are al...

Re: LoRaWAN support

Another vote for 915/928mhz version or at least support 3rd party USB based mPCIe cards that are 915/928mhz.

Thermal Issues with 450G router

I'm starting to have thermal issues with a 450G router. Is this a common issue with these units? In a room that is ~30c the unit is running at 53c. I have a Powerbox outside in the sun where the ambient temperature is ~34c and it's only running 42c. The 450c at around 50c starts locking up or power ...

PowerBox Eth5 VLAN Problems

Since I'm new to Mikrotik I want to make sure I'm not doing something incorrectly. I have a PowerBox with Eth5 connected to a Ubiquiti NSM5 unit. Eth1 is a unlink to a RB450G. I've created VLANs on eth1 and have no issues with traffic on the VLANs to the RB450g. I've also created VLANs on eth5 for u...

Re: VLAN Config Confusion, Interface or Switch

That is what I was gathering. Looks like the main use case of one over the other is throughput bandwidth. The reason the question came up is i'm having issues with a VLAN on eth3 on a PowerBox. Basically the device on eth3 has untagged, VLAN1 and VLAN2. I have no issues talking to the device via the...

VLAN Config Confusion, Interface or Switch

First off, need to say i'm new to MikroTik products, in short I picked up a PowerBox and a 450G. I've been getting some configs going on them and thought I had an understanding on how the VLANs worked in RouterOS. I've been setting up bridges tied to the VLANs and ports. In attending to configure a ...
