Anyone else having issues resizing windows? Every time I try to resize any windows on Catalina the app crashes. Am I doing something wrong or is this a real issue.

Re: Hardware type/identity

You have to use aes 128 to run HW acceleration.
Do you mean aes-128-cbc?
I've tried both, almost no change. I do't see "encryption" row in profiler on RB850gx2, what does it mean? I think it uses hardware encryption.

Another question is why your connection is only 36mbit/s? It this connection speed stable?

Re: OpenWRT metarouter as VPN client

Tests have shown about 1 MBit/s and ping ~120 ms what is REALLY slow. I've installed VPN server and client by default. May be there are few options to increase speed? Re: Forwarding all Traffic over VPN

Hey, however, if i add the new route for the VPN the default role will be disabled? What do i wrong? If you have two (or more) routes to 0.0.0.0 with different distances, the active route is the route with lowest distance. Another route becomes active when a gateway for your primary route becomes u...

Re: Forwarding all Traffic over VPN

1. Add route to 0.0.0.0 over 192.168.77.1 gateway (VPN) Change distance by +1 for your default route (that is 0.0.0.0 over 192.168.178.1) The distance of you eth1 route should be higher, than you ppp route Note: if you get an ip address for your eth1 by DHCP, you should change the distance in your d...

Re: OpenWRT metarouter as VPN client

150$ and is able to encrypt OpenVPN at least at 150Mbit+ due to it's AES hardware encryption feature. I'g gonna take this device soon and share results.
Multicore Mikrotiks do not support metarouter. This includes the 850gx2
That's bad.. The only solution is to l2tp/ipsec.

Re: Dual Wan failover with 1 static and 1 dynamic IP?

Got a new idea =) Try to define a static route to any random pingable ip (like 8.8.8.8) thu a certain interface gateway. As i know, ROS is able to determine a gateway's IP it was set dynamically via DHCP Client. Next is netwatch the 8.8.8.8. Once the static route is set, the 8.8.8.8 shouldn't be abl...

Re: OpenWRT metarouter as VPN client

Until Tik natively will support UDP and LZO — yes, it's necessary. Some time ago that topic was really important to me, that's the reason of my question. What down/up speed you want to get? Thanks for the reply. As far as I understand when tunnel doesn't exist (connection isn't established yet or broken already) all my traffic will be sent unencrypted. If so — can I prevent this? Re: Dual Wan failover with 1 static and 1 dynamic IP?

If you do it that way, how can you get notified via email?
Use netwatch tool, add a gateway's known static ip address to watch list and define e-mail scripts for UP and DOWN events.

I'm not experienced much with OpenWRT OpenVPN configuration, but with Mikrotik you should start from: 1. Upload OpenWRT image 2. Create a new metarouter and assign uploaded image 3. Create a virtual ethernet interface and assign it to your new metarouter instance 4. Change your default PPPoE route 0...
