When I change the Frequency in AP mode via quickset wireless stops working even if I reboot. It won't start again even if I set it back to the original frequency. I have also set my country. It worked out the box & works if I reset but stops as soon as I change the frequency. Thank you very much fo...

OK,

After more playing around & wondering why I am getting different results after doing the same thing after a reset I used the manual method (winbox) down the side rather than quickset & things went as expected.

What gives is quickset just broken??

Doh, I did not think that one through! I've already got a few G access point flying around as the building is fully wired. Was dreaming the N might give me better coverage but will be stuck with G devices for quite a few more years yet. Also those modile hones just aren't going to have the range - d...

RB/751G-2HnD Radiation Hazard + external antenna?

Hi, I am thinking of getting a RB/751G-2HnD & live on the 7th floor of a small 8 story tower block. Ideally I would like to be able to reach the ground floor so was thinking of adding a bigger antenna. If this is too big an ask I will take whatever coverage I can get. I would say the radius of the b...

Hi, As part of bb upgrade I am having to use a different bb suplier for a month. This bb suplier seems to require a mtu of 1454, unfortinatley all the comps conected to my network have a mtu of 1458 and this results in them not been able to send email (etc) >1K. My setup is this. Ah right, ta. The problem I see with doing Load Balencing the way surgested this. My usenet account requires a log on and it notes the IP u logged on with and then if u change IP, which look like it could happen with the above method it refuses to let you access it. I think load balencing would be g...

Re: Policy Routing

NO, I don't think it is the same at all. We currently have load balancing working. With the clients traffice being equally divided amoung the uplinks. I want to route individual customers out a single interface with two routing tables as is explained in Policy Routing in V2.8 ie: IP's 10.3.0.1 10.3...

Re: Policy Routing in V2.9

Is Policy Base routing available in V2.9B8? If not, will it be available? I would prefer to use this over load balancing. Load balancing seems to have a slight problem with programs like MSN, the connection intermittently drops. I assume this happems when the application switches destination IP's a...

The modem is probably remembering a MAC address and having problems clearing its arp or something. If you just unplug the MT for 30 seconds after there is no connectivity does it work when plugging it back in, or do you absolutely have to reboot the MT to make it work? See if you can get connectivi...
