Well, you obviously have code running on your system that works, but you don't know what it does exactly. Doesn't sound secure tbh.

Re: winbox on MacOS (Apple Silicon) with Dock launcher

We will never get proper support for macOS. You can use Wine, but that will break on almost every macOS Update and will force you to use unsigned code. It was the reason, why we had to switch to other manufacturers, even though MT has splendid Hardware. If you want to have a working solution: use th...

Re: Winbox on Apple Silicon first try [SOLVED]

The most native solution is to use the native iOS app on your M1 mac:

Just click the following link (only for M1 Macs).
https://apps.apple.com/at/app/mikrotik/ ... 64830?l=en

It is not as convenient but it is stable and you don't have to worry every time you upgrade your OS.

Any updates regarding native winbox for Macos and M1 (ARM) core?

You can try and install it via Crossover, that seems to work more or less.

The Dishes have a very narrow 'focus'. If the distance isn't to far you could use the RBwAPG-60adkit.

Re: RouterOS making unaccounted outbound winbox connections [SOLVED]

some devices haven't had the license to upgrade to 6.x Just note that license upgrade is free of charge, if the device doesn't allow you to upgrade by upload+reboot, we will give you a free license upgrade. wow thats great - i think i had some old information there. keep your great work up! thx a l...

Re: RouterOS making unaccounted outbound winbox connections [SOLVED]

@normis Yeah we were aware of the bugfix release, we just had some devices haven't had the license to upgrade to 6.x. Being a software developer myself I know it's not Mikrotiks fault - updates were available and should have been deployed by admins. But for those people who have been infected noneth...

Re: Aggressive RouterOS worm infecting our network?? [SOLVED]

hey, thx for the thread. our network had a major attack today as well. it seems like they opened some devices via the http port (quite a old firmware - damn) and they tried to spread or access by brute forcing mikrotik neighbours. quite a strange behaviour, because they could access passwords and we...

Re: Urgent! I need running the Dude in Windows 10

If you would like to run the dude as a server on windows you are out of luck. Windows is only supported as a dude client anymore.

You can install dude server on many mikrotik though.
Makes way more sense anyway.

Re: Remote gateway over WLAN and 3G dongle as failover

I think a script is the way to go here.
You have to change the routing, or you could do it with some nat rules.

Its not more than a few lines of code

Re: HOW TO CONFIGURE HOTSPOT WITH STATIC IP

I am not sure if i do understand your question, but i will try. The login page is called a Captive Portal. The client tries to access a website and requests a DNS record. The Hotspot fakes the answer and says - well Youtube is at 192.168.0.1 - thats obviously not true, but it is the way you get the ...

yeah thx for the input - i am probably going to use this workaround.

i have got another guy administrating the network and he doesn't like changes very much. So a field thats "under the radar" of winbox would help a lot :)

Re: Connecting two sites with public IP address

Eoip is awesome. But you have to make sure that the two dhcps are not interfering. Its like you patch a real cable between the two networks. That could cause quite some trouble. L2tp would prevent you from having that problem, but younwould need to know the ips on the other network, and the private ...

Re: FETCH DATA GRAPHICS

Ps: the way i would do it: create a simple html - you can even include the images directly from the mikrotik webinterface. Install Ubuntu on your Raspberry and usw wkhtmltopdf to create a pdf from the html. A pdf script can be used to do that and send it as an email attachement.

Re: FETCH DATA GRAPHICS

All the graphics are accessible via the webinterface. You could just ‚steal‘ them from there. That should be possible with whatever coding-language you prefer.

Re: Unique IDs for queues

Thx. That could be a good workaround, though its not as ‚clean‘ as it could be. I am now thinking of adding a unique pattern to the end of the name - smthg like #mikrostats#267#. That could be quite well regexed and wouldn‘t rob the user from the possibility to use names and comments. I‘d like to ma...

Unique IDs for queues

Hi, I am working on a web-based application that collects simple queues from multiple Mikrotik devices and stores them to a database. DFS Mode and Weather-Radars

Hi, I got a question if anyone of you got some experience with DFS Mode and weather radar. We live an rural mountainous area and we run quite a big wireless network (about 200 Mikrotik devices). As we have to maintain more than 100 wireless links it is quite a challenge to find good frequencies. The...

Hi, Thanks in advance for helping me with my problem. I run quite a big wireless network in a rural area connecting more that 120 houses with wireless links. All of the devices are from Mikrotik and most are SXT. We switched to Mikrotik five years ago and we have got something about 200 devices up a...
