Re: v6.43rc [release candidate] is released!

That warning is perfectly clear. Unfortunately some people don't read. Unfortunately some people can't read it if they don't visit the forum ;) There's no such warning in WinBox, for example. And why should people have to read these things, just make RC a real RC and not a nightly. Naming of releas...

Re: v6.43rc [release candidate] is released!

Yea at this point these should not be considered Release Candidates, they should be considered engineering daily builds that could brick your device and require physical access with a serial cable to recover. I now consider ANYTHING that comes from Mikrotik in this category. Look at how bad the &qu...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

Why isn't there a test that you can run as developers to see wether you can use a version to upgrade to a version with a higher number? Should be a basic test that prevents us from heaving these issues. And we should just believe you when you say it all works perfectly again starting from the untest...

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

6.42rc20 falls within the range of faulty firmwares ( 6.42rc17 - 6.42rc24 )
No, only if older version was 6.42rc17 - 6.42rc24
Then why when upgrading from version 6.42rc20 to version 6.42rc27 the router again ceased to give signs of life?

Re: v6.42rc [release candidate] is released!

I read somewhere that 6.42rc24 would not be a version with known issues, so that has changed now? ------------- Main part of upgrade process happens on old version. For example, rc21 -> rc23. If upgrade fails, then it is caused by rc21 version. As you can see in changelog we are still working on upg...

6.42rc24  ....................................... 6.42rc27  how long will this last?

Re: Feature request: Make IPv6 DNS servers configureable in ND/DHCPv6

Yes, please add this! Currently ND and DHCPv6 advertise only the IPv6 DNS servers set in "/ip dns" which are the upstream DNS servers. Therefore it is not possible to use the internal RouterOS DNS server as IPv6 DNS server. Please make the DNS server configurable in the same way, as it's a...

Re: Feature Request: Ipsec Hardware Acceleration for RB3011

Not gonna happen before v7 due to kernel limitations.
So not gonna happen at all since v6 seems to be te last version for this century given the speed of development.

Re: v6.38rc [release candidate] is released

For folks having trouble with IPsec in latest RCs, change your peer generate policy from port-strict to port-override. Support says they are working on a fix for this, but that was enough to get it working for me.

Thanks, this works for me!

Re: New CPU - new product RB750Gr3 - RB750G family - now mmips

-Upgrading should not be an issue -VLAN's do work -IPTV does work perfectly -Configuring is not that hard i know all this because i use the device on a 100/100mb fiber connection with VLAN's used for IPTV and Internet. Hi everyone, I'm new to MikroTik and was almost ready to order one of the new hEX...
